  • Matt Hardy congratulates The Usos and pitches a Usos vs New Day vs Hardy Boyz WrestleMania match.
  • Fans clamor for a generational triple-threat tag match, some urging TLC at WrestleMania for a massive pop.
  • With the Hardys back via TNA partnership, the dream match feels possible and easy to make happen.

Matt Hardy took some time on Monday night to congratulate the new WWE World Tag Team Champions, but not without also taking the opportunity to tease what he called a "generational" tag team championship dream match.

Hardy Wants The Usos and New Day

Matt Hardy posted a photo of WWE's official announcement that the Usos had won the World Tag Team Championships on Raw. After defeating AJ Styles and Dragon Lee, Jimmy and Jey were, once again, kings of the red brand's tag team division. And, with one of the greatest tag teams of all time now officially back and holding titles, it got Hardy's attention.

He wrote, "Congrats, @WWEUsos! Well-deserved win as you guys absolutely killed it. Maybe at @WrestleMania, it’s time for The Usos vs The New Day vs The Hardy Boyz in a generational dream match."

His idea is to bring three of the most winningest and iconic tag teams into the ring for one final curtain call match. The Usos, The New Day, and The Hardy Boyz are widely known as three of the best tag teams ever to wrestle. As Hardy pointed out, they're generational. A match between the three teams would be incredible. And, with the Hardys back and working with WWE through their partnership with TNA, that match isn't just possible, it's easy to make happen.

Fans React To Hardy's Pitch For a Tag Team Championship

Fans immediately reacted. "OH PLEASE GIVE US THIS!!", wrote one fan on X (Twitter). Another asked whether there had ever been a brothers-versus-brothers tag team match at WrestleMania. The answer is no.

Another fan upped the stakes and suggested a TLC match. "Gotta make that phone call, Matt, because a TLC match between The Usos, The New Day, and The Hardy Boyz at WrestleMania 42 sounds perfect."

Will WWE ever look at this? The Hardys, to this day, are still known for getting the biggest WrestleMania pop in history. There's likely an appetite from the fans for this. Does the company feel like it's time to put a set of TNA stars in a feature match on the biggest stage WWE has?
