McKenzie Mitchell is officially back in TNA Wrestling. Mitchell returned at last month’s Genesis event, serving as ring announcer and replacing the departing Jade Chung on the show. On Tuesday, TNA officially announced that Mitchell has signed a deal to continue in the role. Mitchell was a backstage interviewer for TNA from 2016 until signing with WWE in 2019, where she worked on the NXT brand before her release in December 2023. Mitchell spoke with Sports Illustrated about her decision to return to TNA: “I think quite a bit of how thankful I am that I started my career in TNA, to be able to build, to have those stepping stones, to be able to, you know, try things and kind of get my personality in TNA before I reached over to WWE.
