Mercedes Moné: I’m Having The Best Time Of My Life And Career, There’s This New Freedom

Mercedes Moné, formerly known as Sasha Banks in WWE, is enjoying the new chapter of her career in All Elite Wrestling. She says she’s having the best time she’s ever had.

Speaking to Us Weekly, Moné discussed her run in AEW ahead of her in-ring debut for the company at AEW Double or Nothing. Moné said that she’s having the “best time” of her life and career, and feels free.

“I’m having the best time of my life and career,” Mercedes Moné said. “There’s this new freedom. I’m discovering a whole new side of me. I’m not Sasha Banks anymore.”

Of course, at the end of the day, Moné said that she’s just excited to finally get in the ring and work with the women of AEW.

“I’m excited to wrestle and just show how much this match means to me,” Mercedes Moné said. “The women in AEW have such a huge platform and we’re ready to make a statement that women’s wrestling is the best here.”
