CM Punk isn't only the cover star of WWE 2K26, but his career will also be the focus of its Showcase Mode. Just like The Bloodline Dynasty Showcase in WWE 2K25, fans will be able to play in dream matches that never happened as well as recreate historical moments from throughout Punk's career, and now 2K has revealed the majority of the matches that will make up Punk's showcase.
Shared via the studio's latest Ringside Report, 2K has revealed 13 of the matches from WWE 2K26's Showcase, noting that there are still more to be revealed. As was also the case in WWE 2K25, Punk's Showcase will begin in the main event of the most recent WrestleMania. Punk's first-ever headline slot on The Grandest Stage of Them All, where Paul Heyman betrayed him and Roman Reigns in one fell swoop, as he pledged his allegiance to Seth Rollins.
You'll then roll back the clock on Punk's career with the earliest matches on the 2K26 Showcae timeline taking place in 2008, two years after he debuted in WWE. Some of the more iconic matches confirmed to be a part of the Showcase so far include his WrestleMania match against The Undertaker, his match against Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam in 2013, and his match of the year contender versus Drew McIntyre at Bad Blood 2024.
The Fantasy Warfare section of Punk's Showcase introduces matches that never happened, but we kind of wish they did. That section will, of course, include Punk vs. Stone Cold. A match we thought we might actually get once upon a time, long after Austin had retired, but the teases ultimately led to nothing. The Fantasy Warfare section of the Showcase will also pit Punk against Eddie Guerrero.
CM Punk actually has wrestled Eddie Guerrero before, but never one-on-one.
While it's unclear if 2K has more matches to add to its Historical and Fantasy Warfare lists, it has revealed there's a whole third category that it continues to keep entirely under wraps. Dubbed What If, that particular section of Punk's Showcase will imagine a world where The Second City Saint never left WWE in 2014. You can let your imagination run wild when it comes to what might be included here, but I'm assuming Punk would have had a lot to say about Reigns becoming a top guy if he had stuck around.
13 matches revealed so far, with more to come. You can check out every match confirmed for the CM Punk WWE 2K26 Showcase below.
