The Hurt Syndicate’s Manager, MVP (Montel Vontavious Porter), recently revealed his All Elite Wrestling status. Let’s just say that Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley won’t have to worry about finding a new manager anytime soon.
MVP reveals that he signed an extension with AEW:“Recently I signed an extension and I’ll be with AEW for quite a while in my current capacity and hopefully beyond in a managerial capacity and to whatever extent, possibly behind the scenes.I’m very happy where I’m at right… pic.twitter.com/4v7QXo7g95— WrestlePurists (@WrestlePurists) November 13, 2025
In an exclusive interview with Kyle Curran of “Adventure Gamers,” MVP revealed that he signed an extension, noting that he will be with the company “for quite a while.” He also praised AEW CEO Tony Khan for giving him, Lashley, and Benjamin the opportunity to get the group back together after they disbanded in 2021 in WWE and then were later released or left the company. He told the outlet:
“I do want to say this. I want to say thank you to Tony Khan, because recently I signed an extension and I’ll be with AEW for quite a while in my current capacity and hopefully beyond in a managerial capacity, and to whatever extent, possibly behind the scenes. I’m very happy where I’m at right now in my career at this stage to be able to continue to contribute to the business and make money with my friends and entertain at the level that we’re still able to maintain. I appreciate Tony Khan for giving me, Bobby and Shelton an opportunity to get the team back together for a final run and the future looks bright.”
MVP made his AEW debut in September 2024 at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam. Not long after, Benjamin and Lashley followed him, and they created the Hurt Syndicate. There is one original member who isn’t with the group, former WWE star Cederic Alexander.
The last match the group was in was for the AEW World Trios Title on the October 22 episode of AEW Dynamite. The Opps (Katsuyori Shibata, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Samoa Joe) retained the title against the stable. The group wasn’t on this past Wednesday’s episode, but the week before, on the November 5 episode, it was revealed that both Lashley and Benjamin are going to be in the Casino Gauntlet at Full Gear to see who is going to be the first AEW National Champion.
In the promo, when MVP was asked if that was going to be a problem for the group, he said that the whole stable wins if either Lashley or Benjamin gets the title. Along with that, the stable had been feuding with The Demand (Ricochet and Gates of Agony). So the group is pretty busy.
