The 2025 New Japan Cup continued in Okayama, Japan on Tuesday.
Three tournament matches took place on the show. Yuya Uemura became the first wrestler to qualify for the quarterfinals when he picked up a win over YOSHI-HASHI, ending the chances of an all-Bishamon main event against Hirooki Goto at Sakura Genesis.
In the semi-main event, Zack Sabre Jr. defeated his TMDK stablemate, Ryohei Oiwa. ZSJ now moves on to the quarterfinals and will face the winner of Taichi vs. Gabe Kidd.
The main event of Tuesday’s card featured the War Dogs and House of Torture rivalry, with David Finlay taking on EVIL. The match started with the two factions brawling around ringside and to the back, leaving EVIL and Finlay in the ring. Near the end of the match, a ref bump led to SANADA coming down to ringside, but it wasn’t clear which Bullet Club group he would side with. SANADA looked as though he was going to hit EVIL with a dropkick but missed and hit Finlay. Then SANADA looked as though he was going to strike EVIL again, but EVIL ducked and SANADA struck Gedo instead. The finish saw EVIL and Finlay brawling outside the ring as the referee’s count neared 20. Finlay tossed Dick Togo onto EVIL at the 19-second mark, then slid back into the ring to win via count-out. SANADA left the ringside area after the match, with it still not being clear which side he’s on.
