Another new stable could soon arrive on WWE's main roster after SmackDown star Chelsea Green visited NXT this past Tuesday night (August 5).
The former WWE Women's United States Champion appeared on the developmental brand and made an interesting decision alongside The Secret Hervice. It's not the first time Green has featured on NXT, but there might be more to it than meets the eye.
Green and The Secret Hervice made a surprise appearance on NXT to side with NXT North American Champion Ethan Page, who'd been interrupted by Tavon Heights. The 35-year-old successfully retained his title against Santino Marella and was about to give a rendition of the Canadian national anthem.
Page, billed from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, has adopted a patriotic heel gimmick, which has seen him redesign his title with the flag of the Great White North. He had the support of Green, who hails from Victoria, Canada.
Green wore a red dress as she berated Heights, telling him that Page was "the greatest North American Champion to ever hold the North American Championship". She said he inspired "millions of Canucks", but it was her Instagram post that has many speculating over a possible new group.
The 34-year-old posted a snap of herself, The Secret Hervice and Page posing together backstage. While this may lead to a mixed tag match, it could also be part of a bigger storyline that sees one of NXT's top stars join the main roster.
She wrote:
"North America has been saved."
Green appeared on NXT in March and has become one of the top stars in the women's division. She became the inaugural Women's United States Champion in December 2024, and she could help Page get over, should he be in line for a call-up to the main roster.
Green and Page aligning may be part of a long-term plan to ease the latter onto the main roster, and it's real possibility he's one of the next two call-ups. Recent reports claimed that the former AEW star and rival Ricky Saints are the two names that WWE are keeping an eye on regarding moves to RAW or SmackDown.
The Canadian spoke back in February about the prospect of a main roster call-up and what it would mean for him during an interview on Sports Illustrated's The Takedown:
"I mean, it looks like whatever is going to put the most amount of money in my pocket. I'm 35. I gotta stack that cash up quick. I got two kids, hot Colombian wife. I'm just trying to make sure everyone's happy and taken care of. For that to happen, I probably gotta brush shoulders with guys like (CM) Punk who screwed me."
Page is a two-time NXT North American Champion and a former NXT Champion who has been one of the developmental brand's top stars since debuting in May 2024. His promo work and in-ring style could be a hit with WWE's wider audience, especially if paired with the popular Green.
There were recent suggestions from Bodyslam that Page and Saints had been discussed as possible options to join Seth Rollins' group after SummerSlam. But The Vision remains a four-man faction and perhaps WWE have steered away from those plans.
