Nikki Bella on Brie's Potential WWE Return: 'I Keep Pushing It'

As noted, on a past episode of Nikki and Brie’s podcast, Brie spoke about her WWE return being roadblocked because of her husband, Bryan Danielson, being in All Elite Wrestling. In the interview, Nikki said that she’s not only pushing for her return, but all the women in the locker room are too. She also believes that WWE is becoming more open to Brie returning sometime down the line. Her comments are a big change from what Brie was saying back in July. She said:

"I keep pushing it. All the women want her back and they keep asking me every week has that decision changed "I don't think legacies should be determined on spouses, but I also understand business. I do think [WWE is] becoming more and more open to it. I understand it takes time and we just have to figure things out. There's so much business to figure out, and Brie and I both completely understand that."

Brie’s last WWE match was the Women’s Royal Rumble match at the 2022 Royal Rumble. Before that, in 2018, she had fewer than a dozen matches. They were mostly of her and her sister teaming up with either Ronda Rousey or Natalya to face the Riott Squad.

Nikki Hopes To Hold The Tag Team Titles With Brie

Before her current run is over, Nikki is hoping that Brie will get to return, so the two can hold the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles. It would be the first for the Bella Twins. At the moment, the titles are being held by Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss. The two-time Divas Champion also wants to turn heel with her sister. She added:

"Before this run is done, I truly hope to be with Brie going after the tag titles and just having that opportunity to be tag team champions... I really wanna have that moment with her, and honestly, I wanna have that moment to go back and be a heel with her. Being a villain and causing chaos, doing what the Bella's do best."

While fans wait to see Brie return to WWE and reunite with her twin, they don’t have to wait too long to see Nikki face Becky Lynch with Lynch’s WWE Women’s Intercontinental Title on the line at Clash in Paris. The two have been feuding since the RAW after SummerSlam. The Clash in Paris PLE is this Sunday, August 31, at the Paris La Défense Arena, and it will be the last main roster PLE to stream on Peacock.
