NJPW Best of the Super Juniors 32 night one results

The Best of the Super Juniors 32 kicked off today in Chiba. Matches from both the A and B Blocks were featured on the show. The first tournament match of the night featured AEW’s Nick Wayne making his tournament debut against House of Torture’s SHO. Wayne picked up the win with a Prodigy Plex. He had the crowd behind him as well, after SHO insulted the fans and attempted multiple low blows throughout the bout. The semi-main event of the evening saw four-time tournament winner Hiromu Takahashi against two-time tournament winner KUSHIDA. The finish of the match saw KUSHIDA almost score the victory after the two excahnged pinning combinations just before Takahashi locked in Maximum The Holding (A cloverleaf type submission) and made KUSHIDA tap.
