NXT Announces Special TV Episode at Madison Square Garden in November

It was announced on Friday, October 3, that WWE’s developmental brand, NXT, will have a special TV episode next month. The Theater at Madison Square Garden announced it this afternoon on its official X account.

The NXT Special Will Feature Several Big Names

As per the announcement, the episode will air live on the CW on Tuesday, November 18 at 8 p.m. ET. The venue, The Theater at MSG, was used this past March for the NXT Roadblock PLE. The listed capacity for the venue is 5,570. The venue pre-sale starts on Monday, October 6, and tickets go on sale to the general public two days later, on October 8.

The graphic that The Theater at MSG shared includes NXT Champion Ricky Saints, NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne, NXT North American Champion Ethan Page, Sol Ruca, and Oba Femi.

The event is a day after the WWE RAW November 17 episode that will be at MSG. The episode will be centered around it being John Cena’s last WWE match at MSG and in New York City. He’s set to officially retire from the WWE ring on December 13 in Washington, DC, for Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Next Week Is The NXT Vs. TNA Special

Next week, on Tuesday, 7, is the television special, NXT Vs. TNA Showdown. During this past Tuesday's episode, TNA talent invaded NXT during the Oba Femi and Trick Williams match. It was a chaotic night for both promotions.

The matches that will happen on this TV special that is set to air at 8 p.m. ET on the CW include The TNA Tag Team Champions The Hardy Boyz, versus The NXT Tag Team Champions DarkState. Winner takes all. Also, Ethan Page is going to be defending the NXT North American Title against TNA and former WWE Superstar Mustafa Ali.

There will be men’s and women’s NXT vs. TNA Survivor Series-style matches. The men’s NXT team includes Ricky Saints, Trick Williams, Je’Von Evans, and Myles Borne, and they will be facing TNA’s Mike Santana, Frankie Kazarian, Moose, and Leon Slater.

While the women’s match has Jacy Jayne, Jaida Parker, Sol Ruca, and Lola Vice on the NXT side and Team TNA includes Jessie McKay, Cassie Lee, Mara Sade, and NXT star, but currently the TNA Knockouts Champion, Kelani Jordan. So it’s looking like NXT is just as busy as the main roster brands with these two upcoming special events.
