Paul Heyman Hits Back at a Fan Calling Him out for His Betrayal of Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 41
Major update on Roman Reigns' WWE return after getting brutalized on Raw after WrestleMania 41 3 Roman Reigns (via- WWE)

Aligning Roman Reigns with Paul Heyman was perhaps one of the best creative decisions WWE has ever made. ‘The Wiseman’ took the Samoan wrestler under his tutelage in late 2020, and their partnership did wonders for both of them. With Heyman by his side, Reigns got rid of his ‘Big Dog’ gimmick, became ‘The Tribal Chief’ and recorded the longest world title reign in the modern era at 1316 days. And that is just the tip of the iceberg, considering how Reigns revitalised his career with ‘The Bloodline.’

However, a low blow to Reigns from his long-standing special counsel at WrestleMania 41 shocked everyone. It is common knowledge by now that Heyman betrayed both Reigns and CM Punk and formed a brand new partnership with the duo’s archnemesis, Seth Rollins. The question that comes up is whether Heyman feels like he was in the wrong for it.

Not by any means! Especially with how the WWE Hall of Famer hit back at a fan on X who said he would never forgive the wrestling manager for his betrayal of Reigns. Not only this, but Heyman proudly quipped that he would live with the condemnation.

Moreover, the 59-year-old affirmed that it was Reigns who fractured their bond. Last but not least, the current adviser to Rollins gave major props to Bron Breakker for relegating ‘The Tribal Chief’ to the sidelines following an assault on Raw after WrestleMania. And, as things stand, the former Undisputed WWE Champion has yet to return.

There were rumors of Reigns costing Rollins at Money in the Bank. But it didn’t happen, and ‘The Visionary’ went on to retrieve that dangling briefcase to shift the balance of power toward himself. Since removing ‘The Tribal Chief’ from the equation, Rollins has added “Big” Bronson Reed to his crew, with Breakker already in it.

Roman Reigns nearing WWE return with SummerSlam on the horizon

With WWE’s second-biggest show of the year almost a month away, the company has begun preparations to call Roman Reigns back on TV. As per WrestleVotes, WWE is working on new merchandise and marketing for its top star, and he’s likely to get a new moniker as well.

The report said that there were initial rumblings in regard to Reigns possibly working the Night of Champions PLE in Saudi Arabia. While that didn’t happen, the 40-year-old is bound to be a part of one of the two main events at this year’s SummerSlam. And it shouldn’t surprise anyone if the ‘Head of the Table’ goes after Rollins and company upon making his comeback.

However, the OTC will likely be outnumbered by the Architect’s faction. That being said, the Pensacola-born wrestler would definitely need some backup. It could arrive in the form of CM Punk, who is incensed at Rollins and his stablemates after what transpired in Riyadh last weekend. Another potential Reigns ally could be none other than LA Knight.

The former United States Champion is slated for a singles match with Rollins at Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 12. For the unversed, Knight has also been a victim of ‘The Visionary’s’ unbridled hooligans in the form of Breakker and Reed as of late. Reigns, Punk, and Knight may not see eye to eye, but a common enemy might bring them together for once. But besides his WWE return, Reigns has another reason to be happy.

Roman Reigns has welcomed a baby boy into his family

For those wondering about Roman Reigns‘ ongoing WWE absence, there’s a big reason for it. As revealed on WrestleVotes Q&A session, ‘The Tribal Chief’ has been blessed with a baby boy. The legendary Anoa’i family just got even bigger with Reigns becoming a father for the sixth time in his life.

The former Bloodline leader’s prolonged WWE hiatus could now be justified. Moreover, in what could be a Hollywood version of his WWE rivalry with Cody Rhodes, the latter is also in talks to star in the Street Fighter movie. For the uninitiated, Reigns is already confirmed to play Akuma in it.

Whereas, if everything goes well, the former WWE Champion’s arch-rival will join him to play the role of Guile. The internet has already started joking about Reigns and Rhodes completing their WWE trilogy on the big screen first instead of the squared circle.
