On Monday, Penta made his debut in WWE. The former AEW and Lucha Underground star had been a free agent since letting his contract wind down with Tony Khan's company. His debut came against Chad Gable, who is quickly earning a reputation for getting new talent over with exceptional performances in debut matches.
Not only did Penta put on a spectacle during his debut match, but WWE also provided him with enough time to cut a promo after he'd secured his first win with the company.

During his prime, Penta was viewed as arguably the most talented Luchador in professional wrestling. His timing, move set and crowd work are all top-tier. As such, he should have no problem settling into his new home and building a rapport with the fans. It's also worth noting that WWE is already selling Penta-branded merchandise on its website.
WWE now has another fresh talent to help round out its mid-card and potentially challenge for a lower-end championship. During his exit from AEW, Penta was reportedly steadfast in his desire to continue working with Rey Fenix, who is serving the final few months of his deal. When, or if, he eventually makes his way to WWE, the Lucha Bros will form one of the best tag team partnerships the company has to offer.
WWE is in the second week of its Netflix partnership. Delaying Penta's debut was smart, as it gave the company another big moment to celebrate and enjoy. Now, Penta must prove he can be a hit on the biggest stage of them all, both as a singles wrestler and tag team duo.
