Last weekend, the road to WrestleMania began. With the Royal Rumble winner, Roman Reigns, setting his sights on CM Punk’s World Heavyweight Championship, there are now so many possibilities as to which wrestlers will collide with one another at the show of shows. When Brock Lesnar returned at the Royal Rumble, he made it known that he is seeking a spot in this year’s WrestleMania card.
Unfortunately for Lesnar, he came up short in challenging for a championship at WrestleMania 42. Although Lesnar will not main event the show, he will have a match that’s worth watching. With the WWE roster rapidly growing, there are plenty of names that he can work with. Here are
It’s unclear as to what WWE has planned for Randy Orton heading into this year’s WrestleMania. If he needs a match, then why not have him go at it against a rival from his past?
When it comes to Brock Lesnar colliding with Randy Orton, it’s usually a rare and challenging match for “The Beast. With both men coming from the infamous OVW Class of 2002, it’s quite interesting that they wrestled only two matches against each other.
The first bout took place on SmackDown in 2002, and the second happened at SummerSlam 2016. Since Lesnar stated he plans on retiring this year, fans can see Lesnar and Orton go it one more time to symbolize the end of an era, much like Triple H and The Undertaker’s match at WrestleMania 28.
After weeks of WWE promoting Oba Femi’s debut on the main roster, Femi finally made his presence known at the Royal Rumble. Femi pulled a dominant performance by tying with Roman Reigns for eliminating the most wrestlers in the match. There was also a tease for a likely Femi/Lesnar matchup at WrestleMania when the two had an epic staredown.
A match of that caliber would be fresh for Brock Lesnar, as he hasn’t worked with that many people since his return last summer. With the rumor of him retiring at SummerSlam in his home state of Minnesota, there’s definitely a chance that he work with Femi before his time ends.
If there’s anyone Lesnar could have a story with, it’s LA Knight. At the Royal Rumble, LA Knight made an impact by helping Cody Rhodes eliminate Lesnar from the match. Working with Lesnar would be huge for Knight, as it would be another main event star for Knight to compete against.
This story can start somewhere on RAW in the coming weeks or at Elimination Chamber. If the feud between Knight and Lesnar starts at Elimination Chamber, it can begin with an interference. If Knight has the chance to earn an Undisputed WWE Championship Match at WrestleMania, Lesnar can come out and cost Knight his opportunity. The first motive would be due to Knight preventing Lesnar’s chance of main-eventing WrestleMania.
The second reason would be Paul Heyman calling Lesnar for a favor, as Knight has been seeking vengeance on The Vision. It would also be a good way to end Knight’s long rivalry with any Vision members finally.
As WrestleMania quickly looming, who will step up to the plate and face “The Beast” at WWE’s biggest show of them all?
