WWE Raw hurtles into Texas on “Stone Cold” Steve Austin Day (3/16), but will the Texas Rattlesnake show up?

March 16th has been known as “Stone Cold” Steve Austin Day for a while now, as it is abbreviated to 3/16. Regardless of whether Austin makes an appearance at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, fans are in for a massive WWE Raw.

Here’s our full preview for WWE Raw, which streams on Netflix at 8/7c.

WWE Raw Match Card (3/16/25)

  • Women’s Intercontinental Championship: AJ Lee vs. Bayley
  • El Grande Americano vs. Original El Grande Americano
  • Roman Reigns Returns
  • Brock Lesnar WWE WrestleMania Open Challenge Answer

Women’s Intercontinental Championship Paves WWE WrestleMania Redemption

There are two directions this story could take, and thanks to the shiny new WWE 2K26 game, you can choose the fate of AJ Lee and Bayley.

According to the video game, Bayley edges the contest with an 89 rating to Lee’s 87. Defeat Lee with Bayley, and she gets to walk into WWE WrestleMania 42 as a champion. A nice little redemption for Bayley after she was taken out of a Tag Team Championship match in Las Vegas last year. Former IC Champ, Becky Lynch, was responsible for that. Bayley winning the gold would stop Lynch from challenging Lee at ‘Mania. That would be extra sweet for Bayley.

But if the plucky underdog (by two points) Lee can see off Bayley, she gets a championship match at the “Showcase of the Immortals”. But that would make Lynch the big winner as she’d surely get a rematch with Lee in Las Vegas. And if the WWE 2K26 ratings are anything to go by, Lynch, with 94, should make light work of Lee.

WWE Raw Preview: Everything Else

Also on WWE Raw, a long-rumoured WWE WrestleMania 42 contest takes place. The Original El Grande Americano challenges El Grande Americano in a battle for identity theft. Not content with stealing his identity, El Grande Americano stole the OG’s WWE Intercontinental Championship match last week. This happened moments after Danhausen cursed the Original.

Brock Lesnar will demand to know who wants to face him at WWE WrestleMania 42. Be careful what you wish for, Brock; you could be the next man cursed by Danhausen.

Meanwhile, Roman Reigns has had two weeks to think up an impactful response to CM Punk teasing him about his dad being dead. Punk used the seven days of thinking time he’d had since he said what he said to say that Reigns deserved to be reminded that his dad was dead because he’s said some mean things to other people in the past.
