WWE Raw tonight looks to be the opposite of WWE Wrestlepalooza. WWE overpromised and underdelivered with its ESPN debut, Wrestlepalooza.
In the words of Becky Lynch, it’s not just me saying it. ESPN are saying it. ESPN rated Wrestlepalooza with a grade of C. So WWE has promised nothing for WWE Raw, meaning no matter what, it will overdeliver on Netflix.
WWE Raw tonight streams worldwide on Netflix at 7ET from the Ford Center in Evansville, IN.
No Matches Announced
WWE Raw top title holder, World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins, faces Cody Rhodes at WWE Crown Jewel. So we might see Rollins look ahead to that.
But after losing to CM Punk and AJ Lee at Wrestlepalooza, Lynch might want to keep her “Visionary” husband’s vision on those two.
Dragon Lee was seeing triple last week, when a trio of El Grande Americanos appeared as he was booked to face one of them. Finn Balor is also worried about El Grande Americano feeling The Judgement Day owes him after he helped Dominik Mysterio win the AAA Mega Championship.
But Dirty Dom is just worried about Rusev claiming to be next in line for a shot at Mysterio’s WWE Intercontinental Championship.
Talking of titles. Stephanie Vaquer is the new Women’s World Champion and will certainly appear on WWE Raw. But who might want the first shot at her?
IYO SKY might be too distracted to want a rematch with Vaquer by Asuka, claiming she ‘told her so’ for playing nice with her in the championship match at Wrestlepalooza. Rhea Ripley has already claimed she wants a shot at the Women’s World Championship, but she, too, could be distracted by Asuka and Kairi Sane after she backed up Nikki Bella in a two-on-one verbal assault last week.
Meanwhile, Bayley is distracted by her split personalities at the moment. Which one will meet Lyra Valkyria when she inevitably comes snooping around her? Let’s wait and see on WWE Raw tonight.
Phew. With nothing booked, there’s still a lot to look at for WWE Raw this week.
