Jelly Roll guest-hosted Jimmy Kimmel Live on Tuesday night and, to help promote their match at SummerSlam, the singer had the man who will be his tag partner for the night, Randy Orton, join him as a guest. Unfortunately, the two of them didn't have much of an opportunity to chat as they were quickly interrupted by their SummerSlam opponents.
Drew McIntyre was the first to invade the interview. Orton proceeded to try and dispose of The Scottish Psychopath by squaring up to him, telling McIntyre he'd picked the wrong time and the wrong place to make a scene. That scene immediately got a lot more chaotic as Orton shoved McIntyre in the chest and the two of them brawled off the set.
Jelly Roll, a little flustered, tried to cut to a commercial break. That's when McIntyre's celebrity SummerSlam partner, Logan Paul, made his presence known. The YouTuber-turned-WWE Superstar made sure the cameras kept rolling as he attempted to intimidate Jelly Roll, slapping the guest host across the face and implying he was about to take over his adversary's role on the show.

Jelly Roll didn't just stand there and take it, though. Once the singer had moved past the shock of being slapped, he went a step further and grabbed Paul around the throat. Jelly Roll then proceeded to hit a chokeslam on the former US Champion right through the desk he'd been guest hosting from. The country music singer then gleefully cut to commercials, this time with no objections from Paul, who was out cold.
After weeks of rumors, it was confirmed on SmackDown last week that Jelly Roll has been training so that he can compete in his first-ever pro wrestling match at SummerSlam next month. The Jimmy Kimmel guest host made sure to plug that match, yelling about it as the crowd continued to celebrate the loud-mouthed Paul being put through a table.
Jelly Roll will team with Orton to take on the team of McIntyre and Paul on August 2 and 3 during the first-ever two-night SummerSlam in WWE history. It's still unclear just how capable Jelly Roll is in the ring. All we know for now is that he can hit one heck of a chokeslam. Following how well Paul has taken to the business and how good Bad Bunny has looked during his limited in-ring appearances, the bar for celebrities competing in WWE has been raised significantly in recent years.
