Randy Orton’s WWE WrestleMania 41 opponent will be revealed in an open challenge segment on night two of the event on Sunday, April 20.
Orton took to the ring on Friday’s SmackDown go-home show to announce that he will hold an open challenge at WrestleMania.
Insisting that he was not going to miss what will be his twentieth WrestleMania, Orton issued a blanket challenge to any wrestler in Las Vegas for WrestleMania week to step up and face him.
Orton’s originally scheduled opponent Kevin Owens had to withdraw from Mania after suffering a neck injury, leaving Orton without a match.
Potential bouts with Solo Sikoa and SmackDown GM Nick Aldis have been teased in recent weeks, but Friday’s segment did not suggest that either will face Orton on Sunday.
The updated WWE WrestleMania 41 lineup is listed below. The shows will stream on Peacock in the US and on Netflix in most of the rest of the world. The pre-shows begin at 4 p.m. Eastern on Saturday and Sunday, with the main cards on both nights beginning at 7 p.m. Eastern time.
