Report: Kenny Omega Underwent Surgery Last Week

Kenny Omega is on the road to recovery.

Three weeks ago on AEW Dynamite, The Best Bout Machine was viciously attacked by his former friends in The Elite. A week later, on his live Twitch stream, Omega stated that he would be undergoing surgery soon to treat his diverticulitis. A recent report states that surgery has recently taken place.

According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select), Omega underwent surgery in New York on May 16 to aid his diverticulitis recovery.

All Elite Wrestling expects a lengthy recovery for Omega and he’s not factored into any creative plans at this time.

Omega last competed on an episode of Collision back in December, where he defeated “All Ego” Ethan Page. He was later pulled from his planned match for AEW Worlds End, where he would have teamed up with Chris Jericho to take on Ricky Starks and Big Bill.
