Report: Update On Mercedes Moné Signing With AEW, Potentially Working With NJPW

Mercedes Moné made her AEW debut at AEW Dynamite: Big Business. A new report provides an update.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that Mercedes Moné produced her own theme. Sources were said to be happy with the way that “CEO” was hammered home in her new entrance.

Additionally, Sapp writes that, as of last month, NJPW sources said that they had “significant plans and hopes” for Mercedes Moné. As previously reported, Mercedes had been set to win the NJPW STRONG Women’s Championship at NJPW Resurgence, but she and Willow Nightingale called an audible due to the injury.

Sapp also writes that as part of the deal with AEW, Mercedes has her own locker room. The report notes that tis has been offered to some other female talent in the company.
