Report: WWE's Vince McMahon paid over $12 million in hush money to four women

WWE's longtime leader and CEO Vince McMahon paid more than $12 million to four different women to keep quiet about allegations of sexual misconduct, the Wall Street Journal reported Friday.

The allegations come less than a month after a previous Wall Street Journal report said that McMahon paid $3 million to a former employee to cover up an affair. Days later, McMahon stepped back as the company's CEO, but retained his role relating to creative control. The latest report shows the scope and scale of McMahon's alleged misconduct to be much larger than previously thought.

The Wall Street Journal reports that McMahon had a $7.5 million agreement with a former wrestler who was coerced into giving him oral sex. She was later demoted and the WWE declined to renew her contract after she resisted further encounters, per the report.

Another "roughly $1 million" deal was reportedly made with a contractor who said she received unsolicited nude photos of McMahon and alleged she was sexually harassed while on the job.

McMahon, 76, purchased WWE (then WWF) from his father in 1982. His daughter Stephanie McMahon is currently serving as the company's interim CEO and interim Chairwoman.
