Two mystery vignettes aired on Friday’s WWE SmackDown — one almost certainly for Rey Fenix, with the other open to interpretation. The Fenix vignette showing a wrestler with similar tattoos and similar mask show in silhouette aired on Friday’s SmackDown from Barcelona, Spain. Fenix has long been expected to join brother Penta in WWE as soo as he was contractually able. Fenix was removed from the AEW roster page on their website early this month, with the belief being he was granted his release at that time. The Fenix vignette: Another mystry vignette featuring the number 4 aired during SmackDown as well. The second mystery teaser was short on any potential identifying clues, but could be for the former Malakai Black, another AEW talent recently removed from the company’s website who is also believed to have been granted his release, and is also expected in WWE in short order, though that is purely speculation.
