  • Ripley calls out fans' contradictory opinions in women's wrestling.
  • Fans criticize talent yet support women's wrestling, prompting Ripley's response.
  • Ripley might headlining a possible Evolution PLE return, sparking mixed reactions from fans.

Rhea Ripley appears to have had enough of the complaining and contradictory opinions from female wrestling fans. In a social media post, she wrote that many of these fans are fickle and cited the types of arguments she hears when their opinions vary. Ripley gave a good chunk of the WWE Universe a piece of her mind.

Ripley Calls Women's Wrestling Fans "Miserable"

In a post that was seemingly intended to reach a portion of the fanbase that has made it difficult for female Superstars, she wrote on Wednesday:

"Women’s wrestling fan - “women deserve better” (Same breath) - “she’s sleeping with her boss that’s why she’s where she is” - “She should retire” - “She doesn’t deserve it” - “She’s handed everything and never worked for anything” - “I hope she gets injured” YOU guys are the real reason it’s so difficult to be taken seriously as a women’s wrestler. If YOU put as much effort into your own miserable lives as you put into degrading successful women, then maybe you would accomplish something yourself."

It's not clear if Ripley was going after one fan or speaking generally about many, but it's clear she'd had enough of reading about the opinions of some in the WWE Universe who can't seem to make up their mind. If they want to support women's wrestling, support it. If they're going to tear it down, don't act like you support it.

Timing Is Interesting On Heels Of WWE Evolution PLE Returning

Ripley is among the many women who are often the target of fans, but she might get even more polarizing reactions because of how big a name she is in the industry. Ripley isn't just a star in the women's division; she's a main event star regardless of gender. And, it's likely she'll headline the upcoming Evolution PLE, if rumors of it returning at the end of May are accurate.

Speculation that this event is return has likely spawned reactions from WWE fans about who they'd like to see get the focus of that show. Understandably, WWE might want to go with proven draws like Ripley, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte Flair. Of course, that will lead fans to come up with conspiracy theories that newer female talents are being held down.
