Ric Flair Threatens To Sue Restaurant, Suggests New Name
Sipa USA

Following a bizarre recent incident that is blowing up, Ric Flair threatens to sue a restaurant and suggests a new name for it if he were to buy it.

We can always count on Ric Flair to keep things interesting. I thought him revealing he suffered a heart attack DURING his final match was bad enough. Then we learned of a recent incident at a restaurant, and things got a whole lot more interesting.

In past times, this might end up a case of Flair’s word against that of the restaurant staff, and people would pick sides and that would be that. But because pretty much everyone has a video camera in their pockets, video of the clash has hit the Internet. The restaurant itself-Piesanos in Gainesville, Florida-had said they have security footage of what transpired. The video we’ve consumed so far seems to be from an entirely different source.

What happened?

For a bit of a recap, Flair was at the pizza place with family. He was taking pictures with fans and doing his thing. But then, he had to do his thing in the restroom, but it was occupied. That led to some arguing between Flair, who had to go, and a kitchen staffer who was going (at least, that’s the best summary I have). Flair posted his side to social media, claiming to have been disrespected and kicked out of the place.

The pizzeria shared their side, stating that they had video (that they declined to make available at that time) and that the staff kicking Flair out did the right thing. Word was Flair was acting out, threatening staff, even challenging them to step outside. Video has since been released showing Flair arguing while visibly intoxicated. To me, it does not do him any favors, and seems to support the idea that the staff did what they had to do.

Now, however, Ric Flair threatens to sue the restaurant. Further, he suggests he could buy the place and give it a new name: Ric Flair’s Italian Bistro. Based on the footage so far, I would say I am not sure a lawsuit would go his way. He might have the funds to purchase the pizza place, but something tells me with what went down, the owner might not want to sell. At least, not to Ric Flair, unless it’s a massively generous offer.
