The semifinals are set for the Men's Breakout Tournament. Lexis King will face Riley Osbourne and Oba Femi will face Tavion Heights in the semifinals that take place on next week's NXT. The winners of those matches will advance to the finals, where the winner will earn a future championship match. King was the first to advance on Tuesday after pinning Dion Lennox with a swinging neckbreaker. After the match, Trey Bearhill emerged and went after King, but King managed to escape. It was King that attacked Bearhill with a steel chair last week, allowing King to enter the tournament as Bearhill's replacement due to injury. Heights later defeated Luca Cruscifino in the final opening round match, pinning Cruscifino with a twisting belly-to-belly suplex. The Men's Breakout Tournament follows the Women's Breakout Tournament, which concluded at the end of October with Lola Vice defeating Kelani Jordan in the finals.
