Seth “Freakin” Rollins has been out of action with a shoulder injury since October 2025. The Visionary injured himself during a hard-fought battle with Cody Rhodes. WWE had to write Rollins off TV, and his stablemates, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, turned on him. Thus, Rollins was kicked out of the very faction he created and had to vacate the World Heavyweight Championship.
The direction was clear for Rollins upon return. The Visionary was going to go after Breakker once he was cleared. It was more a matter of when rather than “if.” WWE was already planting the seeds for the eventual match with the mystery attacker angle. A masked individual jumped on Breakker during his entrance in the Men’s Royal Rumble, leading to an anticlimactic elimination.
Paul Heyman and many fans were convinced that Rollins was the mastermind behind the attack. Unfortunately, Breakker suffered an untimely hernia injury, which puts his WrestleMania status and rumored match with the Visionary in jeopardy.
Nonetheless, WWE has plenty of time to come up with a backup plan, and here we’ll propose a few alternatives.
After kicking out Rollins from the Vision, Paul Heyman recruited Logan Paul into his faction. Although Paul isn’t the leader of the group, he has taken the Revolutionary’s spot in many ways. This makes the Maverick a natural target for the Visionary.
Furthermore, Rollins and Paul have plenty of history. They had a high-profile feud at the beginning of 2023, which culminated in a thrilling bout at WrestleMania 39. The Revolutionary got the better of the YouTube sensation that day, and both men have remained largely indifferent to one another since their first clash at Mania.
As Paul wasn’t involved in the Vision’s turn against Rollins, it would take a little extra effort to build a compelling storyline between the two Superstars. However, if history is any indication, the promos and eventual match will certainly set the world on fire.
Seth Rollins and Bronson Reed have an intriguing part. They were fierce rivals in the second part of 2024. The Auszilla infamously crushed Rollins with 6 Tsunamis on the RAW after SummerSlam 2024, keeping the Visionary off TV for several months.
They fought a couple of times. Rollins defeated Reed at Crown Jewel, but the Auszilla returned the favor on RAW a few weeks later. Their feud was cut short when Reed suffered an untimely foot injury at Survivor Series: WarGames 2024. However, several months later, Reed returned as a member of the Vision.
Under the Vision, Reed’s career has skyrocketed. He defeated Roman Reigns in an Australian Street Fight, and he may have the opportunity to add another Shield brother to his list of victims if Rollins returns in time for WrestleMania.
The story writes itself. The Auszilla showed little hesitation in turning on the Visionary, who was responsible for making him relevant again. Rollins would want revenge, and their eventual showdown could occur at Mania.
Bron Breakker is Paul Heyman’s ultimate weapon, but the Hall of Famer is one of the most cunning and influential men in the wrestling business. If Breakker is out of the equation, Heyman could always bring in his former client and friend, Brock Lesnar, into the mix to do his bidding.
Becky Lynch threatened Heyman soon after the Vision turned on Seth Rollins. It was the Oracle who founded the faction alongside the Visionary, and Heyman’s betrayal will lead to repercussions. Rollins would want revenge, but the Father of ECW is no fighter.
Nonetheless, he could have Lesnar defend him. The Beast has defended the Oracle in the past and would have little problem taking Rollins to Suplex City. Rollins and Lesnar had one of the most memorable feuds in 2019, when they fought over the Universal Championship. With limited options, Triple H may be tempted to revisit the program.
The Vision has made several enemies during its reign of terror. LA Knight and Penta are high up on the list. Both babyfaces would want their pound of flesh, but they are outnumbered. However, they may find a solution in the form of an unlikely ally in Seth “Freakin” Rollins.
The Megastar was a huge thorn in Rollins’ path in 2025, and Cero Miedo also threw Rollins off his game several times. However, circumstances have drastically changed. Knight and Penta need another ally to take down the Vision, and Rollins could be the best choice.
After all, the Vision was Rollins’ brainchild, and he has all the tools to destroy his own creation. Thus, he could assemble a star-studded babyface squad to take down Bronson Reed, Austin Theory, and Logan Paul.
