An update has surfaced on one prominent AEW star.

The popular AEW talent in question recently wrapped up a feud and appeared to be on her way to another world title opportunity. Fans have been surprised by her absence, but there is an explanation.

Many have been questioning the whereabouts of former AEW Women's World Champion Jamie Hayter. She hasn't worked a show since EVE 131 Multiverse Rumble on Feb. 7. Her last appearance on AEW TV was on Jan. 22, when she defeated Julia Hart on an episode of AEW Dynamite.

Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp is reporting that Hayter is in the midst of clearing up visa issues. The report mentioned that Hayter is back in the U.K. and will be there until she can get her visa renewed. It was also noted that she is expected to be back on the road once that problem is resolved.

Hayter spent a full year on the shelf due to an injury before returning during AEW All In 2024. She's had 12 matches since her return to the ring. Hayter has yet to reclaim AEW gold, but she figures to be in the title mix once she's able to renew her visa.

Hayter hasn't had an AEW title match since losing the AEW Women's World Championship to Toni Storm at Double or Nothing 2023. She did participate in a No. 1 contender four-way match on the Oct. 8, 2024 episode of AEW Dynamite, but it was Willow Nightingale who picked up the win

A Casino Gauntlet match on Jan. 15 also saw Hayter vying for a shot at the AEW Women's World Championship, but she fell short.
