WWE aired its first episode of Raw on Netflix this Monday. The company had been hyping its move to the OTT platform for months. It was even hailed as a WrestleMania-adjacent show in the prelude. And safe to say, it has paid dividends for WWE. As per FlixPatrol, Raw unlocked a new milestone on Tuesday as it upseated Squid Game as the #1 TV show on Netflix on January 7.
A stat that fascinating couldn’t keep Stephanie McMahon from publicly touting her excitement. She quoted an article from Forbes on X that highlighted WWE Raw’s coup over the South Korean drama. The flagship show of WWE was the highest-viewed show in the US, Canada, and Ecuador on Tuesday. Conceding a drop of three spots in the United States, Raw is placed at #4 today.
Brandon Thurston of WrestleNomics revealed that Raw is eligible to be listed on Netflix’s official weekly top 10 rankings. The fans will get to see the cumulative viewing figures for Raw if it ends up in the weekly top 10 features, which would be released at the beginning of next week.
‘Squid Game’ Dethroned In Netflix’s Top 10 List By A New Show

“If you thought Squid Game season 2, was going to stay on top of Netflix’s top 10 list you’d be wrong. In America it has been unseated at #1 by @WWE Monday Night RAW” MQ @TripleH https://t.co/CQyPTsJI6U
Otherwise, Netflix doesn’t plan on separately revealing the metrics for its WWE program. As far as the actual show is concerned, a lot went down. A ton of WWE legends, including The Rock, John Cena , and The Undertaker , showed up, let alone Hulk Hogan , who was booed out of the building.

Netflix confirms to me WWE programs will be eligible for listing in its official weekly top 10 rankings where they break out some global viewing data.
Other happenings saw Roman Reigns regaining custody of the Ula Fala, beating Solo Sikoa. Rhea Ripley became the new Women’s World Champion. In the main event, CM Punk overcame a resilient Seth Rollins. The overall presentation of the event was up a notch with state-of-the-art facilities at the Intuit Dome.
The Netflix premiere of Raw was famously billed by WWE as one of the biggest shows they’ve ever done. Forged on hyperbolic promises, the company milked out a $3 million gate as over 17,000 fans were on hand. But the show turned out to be an outright disappointment.
The fanbase is apparently irked by the underwhelming storyline advances, if there were any. In particular, whatever went down between The Rock and Cody Rhodes was deemed egregious. Instead of picking it up where he left off with the Undisputed WWE Champion, The Great One was chuckling out loud with Rhodes.
Rock gave Cody his flowers for carrying WWE on his back for the past year and even chugged shots of tequila with him on Instagram Live. Fans were baffled to see them break character the way they did. The following night on NXT, the Black Adam star addressed the criticism around it.
