Cody Rhodes is going to have his hands full at WrestleMania 41, where he'll have to defend his Undisputed WWE Championship against John Cena, who recently turned heel and aligned himself with The Final Boss and, for some reason, Travis Scott. Rhodes was able to get some help from legends last year to finish his story, but if he wants to continue his title reign, he should take up "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's offer to help him even the odds.
In a recent interview on the "Unlikely with Adrian Hernandez" podcast, WWE Hall of Famer "Stone Cold" Steve Austin expressed his readiness to support current Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41. Reflecting on the event's location in Las Vegas, Austin had this to say:
WrestleMania this year will be in Vegas and I was doing an interview a while back and I said that's like right here. [...] If he needs another hand, I'll be there.
Austin's offer comes in the wake of significant developments that have shifted WWE's landscape. At the Elimination Chamber event, John Cena shocked fans by turning heel and aligning himself with The Rockand Travis Scott to assault Rhodes, leaving him bloodied. This betrayal has set the stage for a high-stakes confrontation at WrestleMania 41, with Cena selling his soul for the chance at a record-breaking 17th World Championship.
Austin's most recent wrestling activity occurred at WrestleMania 38, where he defeated Kevin Owens in a no-holds-barred match in the main event of Night 1, marking his first in-ring appearance in 19 years. This comeback demonstrated that, despite his retirement, Austin remains a formidable presence in the wrestling world, and could readily help out Cody Rhodes.
The history between Steve Austin and The Rock adds depth to this narrative, and it's why fans are excited to potentially see them throw punches at each other one last time. Throughout the Attitude Era, the two icons clashed in numerous memorable matches, including their infamous WrestleMania trilogy. At WrestleMania 17, Stone Cold shockingly turned heel when he aligned himself with Vince McMahon, who helped him beat The Rock. It's 2025 and history repeated itself, but this time The Rock was the one pulling the strings for the shocking John Cena heel turn.
Regarding his absence from WrestleMania 40, Austin revealed that while WWE had reached out to him, personal commitments prevented his participation. However, it's looking more and more likely that the glass will shatter at WrestleMania 41. Austin's readiness to re-enter the WWE spotlight, combined with Cena's heel turn and the involvement of The Rock, sets the stage for a historic WrestleMania.
