  • WWE may launch NXT Europe brand later this year per internal talks.
  • Excitement among fans for opportunities and potential variety in talent.
  • Possible debut in November with appearances at Royal Rumble and WrestleMania if successful.

WWE may be ready to launch a new brand of NXT wrestling, pegged in the early going as 'NXT Europe'. PW Insider is reporting that there has been internal talk that WWE is lining things up to finally launch ‘NXT Europe’ later this year. It's something WWE had previously considered, but recent conversations have brought the idea back to the forefront.

NXT Europe On The Way

Details around WWE's plans are scarce, but reactions online include excitement among many in the WWE Universe thanks to the opportunities the new brand will potentially create for international talent. It is being reported that some European talent and higher-profile wrestlers (including athletes who aren't wrestlers) have been contacted with the intention of being signed or to try out for the brand. @FightfulSelect reports that Mike D Vecchio and Aigle Blanc may already be signed.

One fan wrote, "That would be great there’s a huge scene over there and could do a Smackdown vs Raw style rivalry with the US NXT." Another said, "The WWE seems to be creating a variety of paths for employment. Instead of using one basic system, they adapting for various talents."

When Should Fans Expect The New Brand To Arrive?

Popular social account Ibou tweeted, "It’s going to be November, and some guy that live tweets RAW, NXT, SD, Evolve, LFG, and NXT Europe will tell you they can’t watch other stuff because they have no time and a life or whatever." If the brand kicks off before the end of the year, that could mean some appearances by talent of the brand in the Royal Rumble in January, with some creative ideas even potentially in play for next year's WrestleMania.

If NXT Europe succeeds, there could be even greater expansion in the works. Triple H has already alluded to PCs and NXTs in Australia, Japan, and other countries in the future. That means WWE will put a lot of effort into making sure NXT Europe works as a feeder system for WWE's main roster.

As for where fans will be able to watch the product, that is still unclear.
