The Longevity of WWE’s El Grande Americano

It’s a shame Gable has been unable to compete, considering this could’ve been his first singles WrestleMania match. However, it will be Americano’s first Mania match, only a month after his WWE debut. He will be facing Rey Mysterio at WrestleMania. 

While El Grande Americano’s persona may seem a little ridiculous, he has been able to secure a WrestleMania singles match within a month of debuting on TV. Chad Gable, however, has been in the company since 2013 and on the main roster since 2016. 

The persona of El Grande Americano is something that the audience grasped. He is funny, ridiculous, and talented in the ring, with a very similar skillset to Chad Gable. But what happens after WrestleMania? How far can El Americano Grande go in the WWE?

El Grande Americano or Chad Gable?

How long can El Grande Americano stay in the WWE before it becomes overkill of the character? What keeps the audience so entertained is that everyone denies it is Chad Gable. 

Now, posing as a luchador, he got the attention of one of the most legendary luchadors ever, Rey Mysterio. Now that they have a WrestleMania match, it is hard to see what the El Grande Americano character can do afterward unless something happens to further the story, such as getting unmasked during the match or some interference. 

A mask vs. mask stipulation could be the perfect addition to the Mysterio vs. El Grande Americano match at WrestleMania 41.

The story can only go on for so long before they overdo it. Since fans love it right now, ending the El Grande Americano character while he is on top may help boost Chad Gable’s career.

He has shown the fans and the company the various roles he can take to entertain the audience successfully. Maybe he will get a singles push after El Grande Americano has had his run.

After WWE WrestleMania 41

It’s hard to say what WWE may do with the El Grande Americano persona. The character’s debut was pretty surprising, nevermind him getting rewarded with a WrestleMania match.

The fans love a funny segment on the show but hate seeing talent go to waste. Chad Gable is clearly very talented, being able to make the audience feel something every night, whether it’s making someone laugh or hate him.

He is very versatile, having had many different points in his career, such as being in American Alpha, Alpha Academy, and appearing as Shorty G. When will it be just Chad Gable’s time?

The fans were behind Gable when he challenged for the Intercontinental Championship, and he came so close every time. The matches were also incredible.
He truly got to show his ability to the audience in the matches against Sami Zayn and Gunther.

I think it’s time that Chad Gable gets another shot at a singles championship because unlike others on the roster, he needs it to boost himself and prove how he can be a champion and can succeed as a singles competitor.
