The long-awaited return is finally here: The Wyatt Sicks made their dramatic comeback to WWE on the May 23, 2025 episode of SmackDown, marking their first appearance since December of last year. The group, led by Uncle Howdy, interrupted the main event WWE Tag Team Championship match between The Street Profits and Fraxiom. The Wyatt Sicks appeared in the ring and launched an attack on both teams, as well as DIY and the Motor City Machine Guns, who were present at ringside.
There are many possible storylines ahead for the sickos, and mixing it up in SmackDown's impressive tag team scene is a great way to re-introduce the stable. WWE might also have a trick up their sleeves with Alexa Bliss and the Wyatts. However, there are also a few paths WWE should avoid when it comes to the creepy faction.
John Cena's heel turn at the Elimination Chamber was a significant shift in his character, with a more aggressive and antagonistic persona that led to his record-breaking 17th World title reign. Introducing The Wyatt Sicks into this narrative could have some potential, especially since there's plenty of history there with Bray Wyatt, but we have to consider Cena's limited time available before he officially retires at the end of the year.
Cena does not need an extended program with a midcard stable, especially as the Undisputed WWE Champion. While the mind games, promos and creepy video packages would have been a fun way to go deeper into Cena's heel turn, there's just not enough time to dedicate to a program like this, and would ultimately be a lackluster way to spend Cena's remaining days.
Aleister Black's recent return to WWE was met with excitement, but we'd be lying if we said there wasn't some concern about what the company does with him next. That's also something to worry about with The Wyatt Sicks. With that said, WWE needs to keep their dark and mysterious acts apart, whether as allies or foes.
Both Black and The Wyatts possess complex, enigmatic personas, and a storyline together would not likely succeed with mainstream audiences. Furthermore, Black's character is still re-establishing itself within WWE. Engaging with The Wyatt Sicks might hinder his momentum and annoy audiences seeking clear character development.
Drew McIntyre is embroiled in a heated feud with Damian Priest, culminating in a brutal Steel Cage match at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on May 24, 2025. Drew needs to move on from Priest, and set his eyes on something greater in the main event scene - a feud against The Wyatt Sicks would be a step back.
McIntyre's character thrives on intense, hard-hitting battles, and a supernatural angle might dilute the realism that fans appreciate in his storylines. While heels like The Miz and Chad Gable are perfect foils for The Wyatt Sicks, Drew's not the type of heel to show fear in the face of a mdicard stable, no matter how creepy they are.
The Wyatt Sicks clashing with the current iteration of The Bloodline (led by Solo Sikoa and featuring Jacob Fatu and JC Mateo) might seem like a compelling storyline on the surface. However, such a feud could potentially over-complicate existing narratives and overshadow both factions' unique dynamics:
The Bloodline is currently navigating internal tensions, with Fatu expressing distrust towards newcomer JC Mateo, while his relationship with Solo is disintegrating slowly but surely. Moreover, The Wyatt Sicks' eerie and supernatural presence wouldn't mesh well with The Bloodline's more grounded approach. WWE could come back to this idea if/once an official Bloodline split happens, with The Wyatts haunting Solo Sikoa for his heinous actions against his family over the years.
