Fans hoping to see Brock Lesnar return to WWE television in the near future will be disappointed following the latest update on his status.

Movement

Earlier this week, after fans thought WWE had added Lesnar back to the roster page on its website, that was debunked as he had never been removed from the page. Earlier this week, Bryan Alvarez said that there have been moves to bring back Lesnar while speaking on Wrestling Observer Live. Alvarez did note that inquiries have been made about Lesnar.

WWE dropped Lesnar from its plans, including matches at the Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber & WrestleMania 40, as the company is distancing itself from Lesnar due to the sex trafficking lawsuit that was filed against McMahon and WWE, with a former WWE/UFC Heavyweight Champion being named in the filing.

On the same day that the suit became public, the Wall Street Journal identified Lesnar as that former champion.

Latest

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that something was done relating to Lesnar behind the scenes this week that is off the record and “that indicated a less hard-line about Lesnar.”

It was said, “One company source said that there was no movement at all right now to bring Lesnar back as a performer.”
