Three takeaways from first 'Monday Night RAW' episode post 'Bad Blood'

The Oct. 7 episode of "Monday Night RAW" marked not only the first "RAW" after the "Bad Blood" premium live event this past weekend but also the return to two-hour episodes for the first time since 2012.

Even with one less hour, "RAW" was still an action-packed show. Let's examine three high points and what they could mean going forward.

What's next for CM Punk?

"RAW" opened with a battered CM Punk gingerly walking out onto the stage to address the crowd after his hellacious victory over Drew McIntyre inside Hell in a Cell at "Bad Blood."

Punk thanked his fans and peers, telling the crowd he had to heal. He was unsure of his return before getting interrupted by Seth Rollins.

The two shared an intense stare down, as this is the first time we have truly seen the two superstars together since SummerSlam in August. It looks like Punk vs. Rollins is on the horizon soon, with the two making their deep-seated hatred no secret.

Bron Breakker, NOT done with Jey Uso yet

After successfully defending his Intercontinental Championship against New Day member Xavier Woods, Jey Uso didn't have much time to celebrate as, out of nowhere, Bron Breakker appeared, downing Uso with a few spears.

After showing Uso "respect" last Monday, it seems it was all a ruse by Breakker, who is still not at peace with Jey for dethroning him of his Intercontinental Championship.

This segment could lead to a rematch between the two superstars, whether on "RAW" or, more likely, at "Crown Jewel"  in November, remains to be seen.

Who wins Cody vs. Gunther at "Crown Jewel"?

At "Bad Blood," WWE's Chief Content Officer Paul "Triple H" Levesque announced WWE Universal champion Cody Rhodes face World Heavyweight champion Gunther for the inaugural Crown Jewel Championship.

Fans had wanted to see this one-on-one match since the 2023 Royal Rumble when the superstars were the last two remaining. Who will win this match is a hot debate among fans, as both superstars are on hot streaks and have loads of momentum.

It could be argued that Gunther would benefit more from a victory as it would establish the Ring General and the World Heavyweight Championship as the best champion in the company, but does the WWE do this at Cody's expense?

Finally, did the Wyatt Sicks find their next victim(s)? More to come...
