‘Timeless’ Toni Storm isn’t leaving any room for doubt. The AEW superstar is gearing up for a glitzy but gritty four-way title defense at All Out 2025 , where she’ll square off against Thekla, Jamie Hayter, and Kris Statlander. And while the wrestling world keeps whispering about a possible WWE comeback, Storm has made it clear: her spotlight is shining right here in AEW and she’s not stepping off the stage.
Talking on the Sandman Podcast, Storm shut down any notion of her making a return to the WWE, stating that she loves being a part of the AEW.
“When I’m done wrestling, you’ll never see me again. You’ll never see me in any other capacity, or in any other company for that matter. There’s no encore. This is it. What would I do? Because I’m on a long deal for AEW. I signed my life to AEW. I’m on a five-year deal, and I can’t remember how long, but I’m a lifer for AEW. There’s no, like, ‘Oh well, I’ll see what happens,” she said.
Storm made her AEW debut in the March 2022 episode of Dynamite as a participant in the qualifier match for the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament, defeating The Bunny. With a host of impressive performances under her belt, she is currently the AEW Women’s World Champion, on her 4th reign.
While she gained considerable attention during her time in the WWE, even becoming an NXT UK Women’s Champion, she does not see herself making a return to the promotion.
“And that’s no offense to WWE. I think they’re great, and I understand them for exactly what they are. They’re a machine, they’re a business, and I just don’t fit in with their whole schtick, and that’s cool. I love it, and I love a lot of people that work there. It’s like, ‘Yes, get that money, get that power.’ But realistically, in my life, like, that’s it. How long can I do this? I don’t know, but I could do another 20 years with AEW,” he said.
Storm’s comments about the WWE have certainly raised a few eyebrows. Talking on the latest episode of ‘The Velvet Ropes with SoCal Val’, she advised Storm not to burn any bridges.
“First of all, I love Toni Storm. I love her look, Marilyn,” she said, “I love her, but you never bury a company. You know, we all learn this saying that ‘maybe that’s not the place for me,’ but every company changes every year.”
In fact, she even asked Storm to learn from her mistakes of bashing a company and learning a lesson the hard way.
“I’ve done that before and shame on me, but I think you get very like in your head going, ‘I need to say what I am feeling right now.’ But social media is not the platform to go to if I’m angry at a moment. You know what? Let me think about it tomorrow if I feel the same way,” she said.
