After months of rumors that TNA (Total Non-Stop Action) Wrestling was working on a media rights deal, the official announcement was made on Tuesday, and the new home is a bit of a surprise.
AMC Networks and TNA announced a multi-year partnership that will televise the wrestling promotion’s weekly “iMPACT” show live on AMC in the U.S. The first TNA on AMC show will premiere on January 15 at 9 p.m., broadcast from the Curtis Culwell Center in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, Texas.
In a press release distributed by AMC Networks, more details of the partnership with TNA were disclosed.
“AMC will feature “Thursday Night iMPACT!” as a two-hour block of action-packed TNA Wrestling exclusively on television every Thursday from 9-11 p.m. ET. The new TNA-AMC agreement also includes extending the weekly telecast to viewers on AMC+.”
TNA Wrestling’s President Carlos Silva commented on the significant deal with AMC and its implications for the company.
“We are super excited to bring the in-ring excitement, energy and drama of TNA Wrestling to AMC,” said Silva. “TNA Wrestling heads into 2026 the hottest it has ever been – with intense rivalries and a fan base that loves the TNA stars. We cannot wait to expand the TNA audience with our new partner, AMC Networks, which has such a long and storied history of serving passionate and engaged fans across so many shows and franchises, through this new media rights deal.”
This media rights deal comes nearly 11 months after TNA signed a multi-year partnership with WWE, which has resulted in numerous cross-promotional content between the two companies. The media rights deal with AMC occurs in a year when TNA has achieved record numbers across the board and has been more popular than ever. Founded in 2002, TNA was recently televised on AXS, with most of the shows premiering on the network being taped. This deal with AMC now shifts TNA to a fully live weekly show, adding some pressure on the wrestlers to perform at a higher level.
FightsATW contacted AMC to inquire whether the TNA PPVs would air on AMC or AMC+, and the response was: “Our TNA agreement relates to their weekly telecast, Thursday Night iMPACT!, not pay-per-view.”
It’ll be interesting to see if TNA PPVs eventually arrive on AMC+, giving fans an incentive to subscribe, as WWE did with its PLEs and Peacock before the deal with ESPN. For now, TNA contributes to an already successful year for the company and has a promising 2026 ahead.
