TNA World Champion Mike Santana shared a personal milestone on Wednesday, November 12. Santana was open about sobriety, while sharing the milestone of how many days he has been clean and sober. His openness about his struggles and wins will hopefully inspire others to get help.
1000 DAYS CLEAN AND SOBER.Very proud of this milestone. Blessed with what I’ve been able to accomplish during this time. Both personally and professionally. Living proof of what happens when you put in the work. I’d be lying if I told you that everyday was easy. Life is going…— Mike SANTANA🇵🇷 (@Santana_Proud) November 12, 2025
Santana took to X to share that this week, he has made it to 1,000 days of being clean and sober. A major milestone for the TNA star. He thanked everyone who had been with him through it all. He wrote:
“1000 DAYS CLEAN AND SOBER. Very proud of this milestone. Blessed with what I’ve been able to accomplish during this time. Both personally and professionally. Living proof of what happens when you put in the work. I’d be lying if I told you that everyday was easy. Life is going to do what life does, but I’m thankful to have a set of tools to help me maneuver thru the bad as well as the good. Thanks to everyone who’s rode with me thru it all. The ride continues…”
Several of his peers sent him encouraging messages. TNA Tag Champion Matt Hardy wrote:
“Congrats, brother! Fantastic.”
Bully Ray commented on his post:
“Great job Champ.”
Former ROH Women’s Champion and retired wrestler Sumie Sakai wrote:
“So proud of you! You are AMAZING!!!”
The Bollywood Boyz (former WWE tag team The Singh Brothers) also commented. They shared:
“Much love, dude.”
So those were just some of the encouraging messages that Santana received from his peers in the industry.
As his personal career is doing well, so is his professional career. Santana became the TNA World Champion exactly one month ago, on October 12 at Bound For Glory. He defeated NXT star Trick Williams. Santana returned to TNA on April 20, 2024, at Rebellion. Before, he had been with AEW since debuting on August 31, 2019, at the AEW All Out pay-per-view. His former tag team partner, Ortiz, is still with the company.
Santana will be next in action at Turning Point on Friday, November 14. TNA announced the match earlier this week. While he won’t be defending the title, he will be in tag team action instead. Santana is set to team with Steve Maclin to face Nic Nemeth (former WWE Superstar Dolph Ziggler) and Frankie Kazarian. Ironically, Turning Point is going to be taking place at WWE NXT’s old stomping grounds – Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida.
So congrats to Mike Santana on recovering and inspiring fans that it’s possible to get clean!
