The final episode of “TNA iMPACT” before the move to AMC took place on Thursday. Featured on the show was the contract signing for the TNA World Championship match between Frankie Kazarian and Mike Santana. A TNA International Championship rematch between Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo and Steve Maclin also took place. JDC had his final faction match with The System against The Hardys, Leon Slater, and Cedric Alexander.
Matt Hardy grabbed a microphone and responded to Vincent and Dutch invading the locker room of The Hardys. Matt said The Righteous crossed a line. Jeff said it’s time for The Righteous to fight them like real men.
The Righteous then walked out. Vincent claimed they didn’t intend to cause issues. Matt wasn’t having it, and he said he wants to delete The Righteous. Vincent said if the match happens, it should be a friendly competition. He claimed The Righteous wants peace with The Hardys. Matt said they will never see peace for trespassing.
Matt wanted the match to take place in El Paso, but The Righteous declined. Vincent said both he and Dutch need time to prepare. He suggested “Genesis” as the event for their tag team title match. Jeff accepted on behalf of his brother, who stared down Vincent and Dutch.

The referee caught Tyriek Igwe interfering and tossed him out. King, Jensen, Dupont, and Grace remained at ringside. Maclin went for Caught in the Crosshairs, but Grace got in the way. TNA director of authority Santino Marella introduced Mike Santana and then Frankie Kazarian for their world title contract signing ahead of the AMC debut for “iMPACT.” Marella said if Santana defeats Kazarian, he will put his gold at stake at “Genesis.”
Kazarian said he wasn’t planning on losing. Kazarian also claimed to be an addict, but his addiction is being the TNA World Champion. He promised to retain the gold during the AMC debut.
Santana said at one time, both he and Kazarian were in a bad place in the wrestling industry. He was referring to their time in AEW. He said he carried his family, his culture, and TNA on his back, but on January 15, he will take the TNA World Championship for himself. Santana hinted that if he can’t defeat Kazarian, then maybe he doesn’t have a place in TNA.
Nic Nemeth made his return. Nemeth was holding his half of the Call Your Shot Gauntlet trophy. Nemeth warned that he’s ready to cash in after Santana and Kazarian are finished with their title match. Santana and Kazarian signed the contract and had a staredown to end the final episode of “iMPACT” on AXS.
