TNA iMPACT 7/3 Recap:Trick Williams Takes Out Joe Hendry And Mike Santana

Thursday’s episode of “TNA iMPACT” featured some announcements for “TNA Slammiversary.” The show. The show also featured a TNA Knockouts Championship match between titleholder Masha Slamovich and Killer Kelly. There was also the “King’s Speech” segment that ended the show involving TNA World Champion Trick Williams, Joe Hendry, Mike Santana, and Frankie Kazarian .

The IInspiration vs. Tessa Blanchard and Victoria Crawford

Indi Hartwell served as a guest commentator. Jessica McKay and Crawford got things started. Crawford drove McKay into the corner. McKay returned the favor before she tagged Cassie Lee in. The two brought Crawford down and hit their “Iconic” pose.

Blanchard was tagged in, and she eventually kept Lee grounded. Crawford was tagged back in, and Blanchard knocked McKay off the apron. Lee and Blanchard took each other out with stereo bulldogs.

McKay and Crawford were back in. McKay drove Blanchard’s head into her knee. Blanchard was thrown outside the ring, and she shoved Hartwell. Back in the ring, The IInspiration got the win over Crawford.

After the match, Hartwell and Blanchard got physical, but security guards intervened to break things up. Hartwell grabbed a mic and said she’ll face Blanchard at “Slammiversary.”

Two More ‘Slammiversary’ Matches

Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt announced that The IInspiration will challenge The Elegance Brand for the TNA World Tag Team Championship at “Slammiversary.” A singles match between Tessa Blanchard and Indi Hartwell was also made official.

Cedric Alexander vs. Mustafa Ali Official for ‘Slammiversary’

Order Four made their way out without Mustafa Ali or Cedric Alexander. Tasha Steelz asked for Ali and Alexander to enter the ring and sort things out. Alexander made his way out first. Ali then marched to the ring.

Alexander spoke first. He said Steelz called him because they know Ali isn’t the same person he once was. Alexander asked Ali if he remembers their time on “205 Live.” Alexander said Ali was the man who gave him support when he needed it the most. Alexander said he simply wants to help.

Ali shoved Alexander’s hand away and said he didn’t need his help. He claimed Alexander cost him everything. Ali said he wants to face Alexander in the ring at “Slammiversary.” Alexander said if it comes down to this, then he’ll gladly oblige.

Ali went for a cheap shot, but he was sent out of the ring. Ali’s security team ambushed Ali, but members of Order Four fought them off. Alexander landed the Lumbar Check on one of the guards.

Masha Slamovich and Killer Kelly Share Final Words Before Title Match

Killer Kelly was featured in a vignette. She said she may have stayed a bit too quiet. Masha Slamovich also shared some words, saying Kelly belongs on a chain.

Chain Match: Masha Slamovich (c) vs. Killer Kelly – for the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championship

The two paid homage to their days as a tag team before trading strikes at the center of the ring. Slamovich went high-risk, but Kelly knocked her off the top turnbuckle. Kelly wrapped the chain around the throat of Slamovich.

Slamovich rebounded in the ring with a series of clotheslines. Back outside of the ring, Slamovich yanked the chain, which forced Kelly to run into the post. The TNA Knockouts Champion wrapped the chain around the challenger’s mouth. Slamovich then hit Kelly in the back with the chain.

Kelly regained control by sending Slamovich into the ring steps. Kelly wrapped the chain around her fist, but Slamovich sent her head crashing onto the steps multiple times. The action then went to the ring. Kelly delivered a suplex on the ramp.

Back in the ring, Slamovich delivered a high knee in the corner. She then delivered a rolling kick. Kelly landed Angel’s Wings on Slamovich, but it wasn’t enough to secure a three-count. Slamovich hit Snow Plow for a near-fall.

Slamovich wrapped the chain around Kelly’s throat, choking her in the process. Kelly was forced to tap out.

Fatal Influence Beats Down Masha Slamovich

Slamovich didn’t get a chance to celebrate her title defense, as Fatal Influence ambushed her. Jayne took Slamovich out with a running knee. The beatdown continued before Lei Ying Lee and Xia Brookside made the save.

Eric Young Gets Real With The Northern Armory

Eric Young told The Northern Armory that they aren’t reaching their potential. Young grabbed Judas Icarus and Travis Williams and questioned if they were against him. Icarus told Young that they will do whatever it takes to get back on track. Young dared his students to prove it.

Mike Santana Says He’s Taking the TNA World Championship

Mike Santana was in a stairwell, and he said everyone who had been with him from the beginning made their voices heard when he was added to the TNA World Championship match at “Slammiversary.” Santana said this will be his chance to show his daughter that anything is possible. Santana promised to bring TNA’s top male prize back home.

Eddie Edwards w/Alisha Edwards vs. Matt Cardona

The two traded strikes before Cardona knocked Edwards to the mat. Cardona looked to leap off the second rope, but Alisha distracted him. This allowed Edwards to pull Cardona off the middle rope. Cardona fired back with a forearm in the corner, followed by the Reboot.

Cardona was distracted by Alisha once again, and Edwards capitalized with a Blue Thunder Bomb for a near fall. Alish placed a ring in the ring for Edwards to use as a weapon. Brian Myers made his way out to stop his stablemate. Cardona then stole the pin on Edwards.

Winner: Matt Cardona

Darkstate Arrives in TNA Wrestling

Edwards and Alisha argued with Myers after the match. Myers was distressed before walking off. The lights turned off, and “NXT’s” Darkstate appeared from the crowd. The group attacked Cardona in the ring.

The Hometown Man Taken Out

Cameras backstage showed that an unknown assailant injured the Hometown Man. He was wearing a towel over his head, as he was unmasked.

History of Leon Slater

A video package was played of Leon Slater, who talked about wrestling for smaller shows before signing with TNA Wrestling. Slater said a moment that sticks out in his mind is when his dad left him when he was a child. Slater said his mother always made sure he arrived at wrestling shows early on in his career.

Slater vowed to be in the history books by becoming the youngest TNA champion when he faces Moose for the X Division Championship at “Slammiversary.”

Mance Warner w/Steph De Lander vs. Jake Something

TNA International Champion Steve Maclin joined the commentary desk. Warner popped Something with a forearm. Something returned fire with some clotheslines. Something went for a dive, but De Lander tripped him.

The action spilled outside of the ring. Warner and Maclin had a faceoff when Something accidentally struck Maclin. The champion then attacked both men before security separated everyone.

Mance Warner vs. Jake Something did not have a winner

Backstage, Maclin, Warner, and Something still had to be separated. Maclin told Warner and Something that he’ll put his gold at stake against both of them.

Nic Nemeth w/Ryan Nemeth vs. Zachary Wentz

Wentz went for a suicide dive on Nemeth, but Ryan put himself in harm’s way. This allowed Nemeth to capitalize. Back in the ring, Nemeth landed an elbow drop. Wentz was able to send Nemeth’s chest crashing into the turnbuckle.

Nemeth locked in a sleeper hold, but Wentz got out of it with a jawbreaker. Wentz scaled the top rope when Nemeth went for a high-risk move and slammed him down with a superplex. Wentz attempted a handspring knee, but Nemeth countered with a Famouser.

Wentz landed a superkick, followed by a handspring knee for a two-count. Thanks to a distraction from Ryan, Nemeth hit the Danger Zone for the victory.

Trick Williams Stands Tall During ‘King’s Speech’

Frankie Kazarian was out for his “King’s Speech.” His guests were TNA World Champion Trick Williams, Joe Hendry, and Mike Santana. Kazarian said he was going to allow Williams to explain why there will be no fairytale ending at “Slammiversary.”

Williams bragged about his wins over Hendry and Santana. Kazarian didn’t allow Hendry and Santana to speak. This didn’t sit well with Santana, who snatched the mic out of Kazarian’s hand and warned him not to disrespect him again. Santana said he didn’t get into wrestling to sing songs or become a fake rapper.

Hendry grabbed the mic from Santana. He said people only sing Williams’ song because they want to see him get his comeuppance. Hendry told Santana that he needs to show him respect because the fans still believe in him.

Williams told Santana that he lied to his daughter. The TNA World Champion is the only one who has been telling the truth. Kazarian distracted Hendry and Santana, allowing Williams to ambush both of them. Williams took out Hendry with a belt show before drilling Santana with a Trick Shot.
