TNA iMPACT! After The Bell (7/10/25) – 'EmBastilled'

This TNA iMPACT episode was worthy of the humpy-bumpy road I’ve talked about over the last few weeks. No more matches made for the upcoming PPV, a few surprises here and there, some pretty good action.

The fifth of six episodes that will lead us to TNA Slammiversary, one of TNA’s flagship events, was worthy of taking it “breath after breath,” like the title of my preview was announcing. Let’s Nygma-dive into the episode, as there are some things to say about it.

TNA iMPACT! Results (7/10/25)

  • TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champions The Elegance Brand (Ash & Heather By Elegance) (w/M By Elegance & The Personal Concierge) defeated Harley Hudson & Myla Grace
  • Cedric Alexander & The Great Hands (Jason Hotch & John Skyler) (w/Tasha Steelz) defeated ???, ??? & ???
  • Lei Ying Lee & TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich (w/Xia Brookside) defeated NXT’s Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley & NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne) (w/Jazmyn Nyx)
  • TNA International Title Match 3-Way Match: Steve Maclin (c) defeated Jake Something and Mance Warner (w/ Steph De Lander)
  • Indi Hartwell defeated Victoria Crawford
  • Eight-Man Tag Team Match: First Class (AJ Francis & KC Navarro) & The Nemeths (Nic Nemeth & Ryan Nemeth) defeated The Hardys (Jeff Hardy & Matt Hardy) & The Rascalz (Trey Miguel & Zachary Wentz)

Messages

Tessa Blanchard joined Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt on commentary to see Indi Hartwell defeat Victoria Crawford, even when Blanchard assaulted Hartwell from the outside. As Hartwell was going backstage, Blanchard claimed that Hartwell ruins friendships and doesn’t know what loyalty is.

Before their main-event match, The Hardys and The Rascalz vowed to work together. Mike Santana said he has overcome all obstacles to get where he is today: the main event of Slammiversary for the TNA World Championship.

Also, Joe Hendry told Tom Hannifan he wants the TNA World Championship back. When the 8-Man Match time came, with NXT’s Trick Williams on commentary, all of this took on a different sense.

The Hardys and the Rascalz (Myron Reed and Zachary Wentz) really joined forces against First Class and The Nemeths. They took control of the match, were on the road to win, until Trick Williams left commentary and struck Matt Hardy with the title belt. AJ Francis capitalizes with the TFL to score the victory for his team.

Nygma says: I can hear some of you saying, What did you expect?

After the match, Trick Williams and First Class looked to dish out more punishment until Mike Santana and Joe Hendry made the save. The disaster struck when Hendry inadvertently hit Santana. The Hardys and the Rascalz had to separate them to avoid more tension.

As First Class is the best asset for Williams to retain, working together is the biggest chance for Hendry or Santana to become the TNA World Champion. So Nygma says: You may have to wait a bit longer than expected to know why ‘Trick-NA’ sounds so funny to me.

Facts

As they prepare to defend the Knockouts World Tag Team Titles against The IInspiration at Slammiversary, Ash and Heather by Elegance defeated Myla Grace and Harley Hudson. It was a pretty good match until Ash caught Grace with the Rarified Air while M By Elegance prevented Hudson from breaking the count at ringside. Nygma says: Nothing new here, until Slammiversary?

Masha Slamovich and Léi Ying Lee defeated NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne and Fallon Henley. Despite Jazmyn Nyx and Xia Brookside at ringside, the match was great. Lee neutralized Jayne at ringside, and Slamovich spiked Henley with the Snow Plow to win.

The most interesting here is Slamovich showing she won’t let Jayne take her TNA Knockouts Championship easily. Then, if Jayne loses the NXT title on Sunday, that will be a completely different story next Thursday on iMPACT and Sunday at Slammiversary.

On paper, Steve Maclin was set to defend the TNA International Championship against both Jake Something and Mance Warner. Most of the match was about Warner, Something, and chairs. Maclin let them fight, then hit the KIA on Warner to win. Nygma says: It’s very clever to let your opponents hate each other, so you just have to come, let them fight, and grab the win.

Surprises

I don’t know who the Mustafa Ali’s Secret Service guys were, because Cedric Alexander, Jason Hotch, and John Skyler ate them up with a delictuous pleasure in a real good match. What happened after and later was puzzling.

After the match, Mustafa Ali attacked Hotch, Skyler, and Alexander with a steel chair. Tasha Steelz finally made her choice heard when she NutCracked Alexander, allowing Ali to stand tall.

Later in the episode, Order 4 reunited when The System confronted them to determine the best faction in TNA, but Tasha Steelz once again proved who has some balls in the Order 4 faction. Nygma says: They say women are the weaker sex? Don’t buy it.

As Leon Slater went face-to-face with Moose, accompanied by The System, ahead of their X-Division Championship showdown at Slammiversary, Matt Cardona arrived and did exactly what I predicted last week. After being attacked by NXT’s DarkState last week, Matt Cardona asked The System for their help. That made Alisha and Eddie Edwards, JDC, and Moose laugh. But not Brian Myers.

The Best of The Rest

  • Trey Miguel of the Rascalz will undergo hernia surgery after Slammiversary. He is set to compete at the PPV.
  • nZo (fka Enzo Amore) is coming to Slammiversary (if only it was a joke…)
  • Eric Young claimed that the Home Town Man is actually Cody Deaner and wants him fired, but Director of Authority Santino Marella needs proof.

The Slammiversary 2025 Card

  • TNA World Championship 3-Way Match: NXT’s Trick Williams (c) vs Joe Hendry vs Mike Santana
  • TNA X-Division Championship Match: Moose (c) vs Leon Slater
  • TNA World Tag Team Championship 4-Way Ladder Match: The Nemeths (c) vs. The Rascalz vs. The Hardys vs. First Class
  • TNA Knockouts World Title / WWE NXT Women’s Title Match (depending on NXT Battleground Women’s title match winner): Jacy Jayne (c) vs. Masha Slamovich (c) or Jordynne Grace (c) vs Masha Slamovich (c)
  • TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Title Match: The Elegance Brand (Ash By Elegance & Heather By Elegance) (w/The Personal Concierge) (c) vs. The IInspiration (Cassie Lee & Jessie McKay)
  • Tessa Blanchard vs. Indi Hartwell
  • Mustafa Ali vs. Cedric Alexander

The Nygma’s Last Word(s)

Why EmBastilled? On Monday, July 14, it’s French National Day. In English, it is named Bastille Day.

On that day of 1789, the Bastille jail was attacked, and all the prisoners were freed. “Embastilled” has become a common term in my language, meaning to put someone in jail.

Wrestling-wise, this iMPACT was a good episode. Storyline-wise, it puddled in mud. We can imagine Darkstate vs The System and Cardona, maybe Eric Young vs The Home Town Man, at Slammiversary.

When it comes to the other matches, nothing really moved this week, which means TNA “embastilled” the fans. There is one episode left on the road to Slammiversary, and still a lot of things in the making. We’ll see if NXT Great American Bash, or maybe WWE Evolution 2025, changes or adds something to the mix this weekend.

Stay tuned as I have a ton of Slammiversary-related pieces for you next week, including the previews and reviews you love. Till next week, may the Nygma be with you.
