The Stakes at TNA Wrestling

It’s the fallout from TNA Under Siege and WWE Battleground on an all-new TNA iMPACT! Trick Williams shocked the world at WWE Battleground, defeating Joe Hendry to become the first-ever WWE Superstar to capture the TNA World Championship. What’s next? We’ll hear from the new champion.

After Robert Stone’s shocking debut as “Sheriff Stone” and his constant interference in Santino Marella’s plans, Marella returns to the ring. He does so alongside his daughter and NXT/TNA liaison Arianna Grace to settle the score with Stone and his newest ally, Tessa Blanchard.

Steve Maclin wasn’t medically cleared to defend the TNA International Championship against #1 Contender Matt Cardona at Under Siege. Now fully cleared, Maclin puts his title on the line against Cardona this Thursday.

Masha Slamovich called Léi Ying Lee a true warrior and put her next in line for a shot at proving it. Now Lee goes one-on-one against Ash by Elegance.

Can Lee continue her rapid rise, or will Ash’s “Elegant” tactics prevail? Not only will Ash By Elegance face off with Léi Ying Lee, but the Knockouts World Tag Champions, Ash and Heather By Elegance, will also unveil their NEW Elegance brand product on TNA iMPACT!

Four of TNA’s most explosive duos collide in a Four-Way Tag Team Match. With momentum and a #1 Contender spot for the TNA World Tag Team Titles on the line, Brian Myers & Eddie Edwards, The Rascalz, FIR$T CLA$$, and the Aztec Warriors clash on TNA iMPACT!

Order 4’s unhinged leader, Mustafa Ali, finally faces the hometown hero he betrayed. Raj Singh—aka the former “Campaign Singh”—returns to Brampton seeking redemption and revenge against the man who left him in the dust.

The Mance Warner/Steph De Lander era has arrived. Ol’ Mancer and his dangerous partner, SDL, take center stage in a match you won’t want to miss on iMPACT this Thursday.

The Nygma’s View

As I said earlier, worlds and times collide in this episode. Steve Maclin was set to defend the TNA International Championship at Under Siege, but he was not cleared to.

Matt Cardona will try to defeat him this week, where Eric Young failed. Nygma says: A skull fracture is not enough to make a soldier fall.

Mance Warner and Steph De Lander have begun a new era. They said it last week. Nygma says: The end of an era is more impactful than its beginning.

The Elegances have a new Brand Product to show, as they said at Under Siege. Nygma says: Poor Maggie Lee. And poor Ash by Elegance too, because, as chosen by Masha Slamovich herself, Lei Ying Lee will put a very ugly smile on her (supposed) lovely face.

With Jeff Hardy not able to be in Canada, if TNA wants to set a TNA World Tag Team Championship match for Against All Odds, they need another team. Aztec Warriors would be perfect opponents for The Nemeths, so would be The System or The Rascalz. When it comes to First Class, Nygma says: KC Navarro, ok, but not with AJ Francis.

Dirty Ali is lost when he wins, like at TNA Under Siege. In a ring, he’s never lost. Anger is not a good adviser, and it pushes Ali to do things he can’t be proud of.

Order 4 is in implosion mode. Ali vs Raj Singh should show the fireworks of Ali’s anger. Nygma says: De Musset didn’t say that about anger for nothing.

At Under Siege, NXT’s Arianna Grace requested her Daddy to team up with her after Grace came up short against Blanchard. The War of the Sheriffs continues, this time with NXT’s Robert Stone teaming up with Tessa Blanchard against Santino Marella and Grace. Nygma says: There can only still be one Sheriff in town (Nygma’s reminder: I created the Sheriff idea, so TNA Wrestling, you owe me once, and you can say it loud).

I don’t know what Trick Williams will say. He wants to run “Trick-N-A.” Mike Santana is more than a Realist and refuses to recognize Williams as his TNA World Champion.

I wish Mike Santana could win the belt in the iMPACT! Zone, and not in NXT. On that, Nygma has nothing more to say (if only you knew what “trick” means in French…).
