TNA iMPACT Preview (7/24/25) – Slammiversary Fallout
Courtesy of TNA Wrestling

TNA Slammiversary 2025 is now behind us. AJ Styles came, but went back to WWE, and Leon Slater is the new (and youngest ever) X-Division Champion. We’ll still hear about it as this iMPACT episode in the fallout from the PLE. This week, TNA iMPACT is live from the Ryan Center in Kingston, Rhode Island.

On the July 22 episode of NXT , we couldn’t do as if the 2 major TNA titles were not in the hands of NXT talents. “The Greatest TNA Champion of all time,” Trick Williams called out the Undertaker, who shut him up in the middle of the ring with a chokeslam.

NXT Women’s Champion and TNA Knockouts World Champion Jacy Jayne said she “runs women’s wrestling.” Lash Legend and Jaida Parker, who both have NXT Women’s Championship aspirations, came and put the whole Fatal Influence faction on notice.

TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella was coming to address the NXT situation of the TNA titles. He instead announced he would compete against Ethan Page for the NXT North American Championship.

“We are officially on The Path to Bound For Glory,” says TNA Wrestling. This path is meant to be terrifyingly eNYGMAtic…

The Stakes at TNA Wrestling

They both came within inches of becoming TNA World Champion at Slammiversary. Now, Joe Hendry and Mike Santana go head-to-head in a singles clash for the first time ever, live on iMPACT. Can Hendry rebound from defeat, or will Santana continue to carve his legacy with another statement win?

Fresh off her historic Title vs. Title victory at Slammiversary, Jacy Jayne is now both the TNA Knockouts World Champion and the NXT Women’s Champion. What will the double champ have to say following her win over Masha Slamovich?

In a match-of-the-year contender, Leon Slater made history at Slammiversary by dethroning Moose to become the youngest X-Division Champion of all time. Afterwards, Slater was congratulated and endorsed by “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles. This Thursday, the future of the X-Division speaks.

The uneasy alliance between Jake Something and Mance Warner imploded at Slammiversary after a costly miscommunication led to a win for Fourth Rope. Now, these two brawlers settle the score in a No Disqualification match where anything goes. Will Jake Something bring the fight, or will The Southern Psychopath and SDL get the last laugh in Kingston?

The Nygma’s View

The episode is live, which means anything can happen. Then, TNA is promoting two matches and two segments, when a match was made at Slammiversary, and I was told of another.

Mance Warner inadvertently collided with Jake Something, which cost Warner, Something, and Maclin’s team the match against the 4th Rope guys. They will collide again in a no-DQ match, which means blood, interferences, and toys. Nygma says: Whoever wins, as long as it’s hardcore.

Mike Santana and Joe Hendry will face one-on-one for the first time. This has been a match in the making for quite a long time now. We can expect Trick Williams to be around, maybe Frankie Kazarian.

Both Hendry and Santana have to remind people why they are World Championship contenders. Nygma says: You know who I believe in.

After their loss at Slammiversary, The IInspiration said they would face off the whole Elegance brand, adding a mystery partner to their team. The question is: Will it be an NXT or a TNA wrestler? Jacy Jayne would be an interesting choice, like Indi Hartwell, Xia Brookside, or Lei Ying Lee.

Nygma says: Let them eat cake.

What will Jacy Jayne and Leon Slater say? Don’t expect Moose to come and ask for a rematch, as the way he gave the belt to Leon Slater showed his respect for Slater. When it comes to Jacy Jayne, Masha Slamovich will, for sure, race for a rematch as she was screwed by Fatal Influence and her desire to do it on her own. Nygma says: I pass on these.

According to my sources, Brian Myers and Matt Cardona are supposed to team up against The Great Hands. This match would make sense after Darkstate interfering in the Order 4 vs the System match last week. As I haven’t seen any official announcement of it, Nygma says: We’ll see that on Friday.

The Path to Bound For Glory starts really early this year. From July to October, there will be two TNA PLEs and at least one NXT PLE. Everything remains to be made, match after match, week after week. Remember the old La Fontaine fable, “The Hare and the Tortoise,” being smarter is better than being faster.

I’ll see you on Friday for TNA iMPACT! “After The Bell.” Till then, may the Nygma be with you.
