TNA iMPACT Preview (7/3/25) – Breath After Breath
Courtesy of TNA Wrestling

Mike Santana wanted it, so did the TNA Universe. Santino Marella made it official. The TNA Slammiversary main event is now a Three-Way match. As the road to TNA Slammiversary continued, Joe Hendry was competing against Wes Lee on the July 1 episode of WWE NXT.

TNA World Champion NXT’s Trick Williams watched on from commentary. Lee’s allies, Tyson Dupont and Tyriek Igwe, would get involved in the match, but Mike Santana evened the odds at the ringside. Hendry regained control, pinning Lee following a Standing Ovation.

On July 12, at NXT Great American Bash, Trick Williams, Joe Hendry, and Mike Santana will sign the contract for their upcoming TNA World Championship match at Slammiversary. While Hendry and Santana may not always see eye to eye, they must put their differences aside as they will team up against Tyson Dupont and Tyriek Igwe next week on NXT.

We are three iMPACT episodes away from TNA Slammiversary. Its road is, and remains, definitely eNYGMAtic…

The Stakes at TNA Wrestling

The bad blood between Knockouts World Champion Masha Slamovich and Killer Kelly reaches a violent boiling point this Thursday night on iMPACT!, as the former MK Ultra partners collide in a Chain Match for the Knockouts World Championship.

Bound together by a steel chain with no escape, the only way to win is by pinfall or submission. Will Masha continue her reign of terror, or will Killer Kelly take the Knockouts Championship?

Two of TNA’s most battle-tested stars go head-to-head as Matt Cardona faces Eddie Edwards. With The System lurking and Cardona hell-bent on disrupting their dominance, this is a high-stakes bout that could shift the balance of power heading into a summer of Total Nonstop Action.

With the Nemeths set to defend the TNA World Tag Team Titles in a Four-Way Ladder Match at Slammiversary, momentum is everything. Last week, Zachary Wentz defeated Ryan Nemeth.

Can Trey Miguel repeat history against Nic Nemeth? Or will the champion shut down The Rascalz’s momentum heading into one of the biggest matches of the year?

A star-studded Knockouts tag team showdown is set as The IInspiration battle the duo of Victoria Crawford and Tessa Blanchard on iMPACT! Coming out of last week’s chaotic Battle Royal, tensions are boiling over in the Knockouts division. Which team will secure a crucial victory as the race for a title opportunity heats up?

With his sights set on the TNA International Championship, Jake Something looks to make a statement when he collides with Mance Warner. But with Steph De Lander lurking in Warner’s corner, will Jake be able to fight through the chaos and keep his momentum alive?

Last week saw the shocking TNA debut of Cedric Alexander, who stood alongside Tasha Steelz and The Great Hands against Mustafa Ali. Now, Tasha has promised to speak directly to both Ali and Alexander. What will the “Boricua Bada--” have to say as tensions explode within Order 4?

Don’t miss “The King’s Speech” with Frankie Kazarian. What will the self-proclaimed King of TNA have to say just weeks away from Slammiversary?

The Nygma’s View

With five matches and two segments, this episode follows new storylines while continuing some.

After the Dog Collar match in 2023, Killer Kelly and Masha Slamovich will have a Chain match. That will be brutal, but both Knockouts are so used to that. As a hardcore wrestling fan, I am more than happy, but Nygma has to say: Poor ladies, the next in line is Ash by Elegance…

Last week, Zachary Wentz defeated Ryan Nemeth even though the Nemeths tried to cheat. This week, Trey Miguel will face Nic. A little bird is telling me the Nemeths may have a Plan B. Last week’s loss may have been hard to swallow for the TNA World Tag Team Champions. Nygma says: Someone will be robbed, badly.

Tasha Steelz will address Mustafa Ali and Cedric Alexander. No one has mistreated Steelz more than Ali. She called “Him,” Cedric Alexander, Ali’s old archenemy. He tried to defend her last week, but she followed Ali instead of Alexander. Nygma says: Some choices have to be made, like some slaps sometimes deserve to be given.

The System seems to have a problem with Matt Cardona, who wants his old buddy Brian Myers back by his side. Facing Eddie Edwards means facing the entire System, and some interferences and distractions from Alisha Edwards. Nygma says: You don’t teach old monkeys how to make faces  (the French version of “you can’t teach an old dog new tricks”).

Frankie Kazarian is set to deliver “The King’s Speech”, which could offer insight into his plans or possibly introduce a new rivalry altogether. Kazarian is a King with no crown, trying again and again to grab the TNA World Championship he has never won. Nygma says: A Speech is not a way to win a title.

The IInspiration will face Tessa Blanchard and Victoria Crawford. There’s not a lot to say about it, except that Indi Hartwell and Tessa Blanchard are not the best of friends. Nygma says: Another match for Slammiversary?

Jake Something and Mance Warner both want the same thing: Steve Maclin’s TNA International title. We can imagine this match like a #1 contender match for the title. With Steph De Lander not too far, and the animosity between the two wrestlers, this match is made to go nowhere. Nygma says, “Why not make a 3-Way title match immediately?”

The Road to Slammiversary is on, so let’s go for the fourth stop of our 6-iMPACT ride. I’ll see you on Friday for TNA iMPACT! “After The Bell,” but I also let you enjoy my wonderful chat with Harley Hudson. Till then, may the Nygma be with you.
