The Path to TNA Bound For Glory may be raging on, but there’s still an Emergence on the road. On August 15, a new PLE takes place live from the Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena in Baltimore, MD. The cards may be reshuffled, and we have one last iMPACT episode to set the stage for this.
On the August 12 episode of NXT, TNA once again invaded the show. TNA World Champion NXT’s Trick Williams, NXT Champion Oba Femi, Moose, and Je’Von Evans joined forces against DarkState.
Moose was just phenomenal to watch. Following incidental contact between Evans, Femi, and Moose, Williams would watch on as DarkState wiped out Evans for the victory.
Earlier in the night, TNA Knockouts World Champion and NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne teamed up with Fallon Henley to battle Lola Vice and Kelani Jordan, with Jayne’s adversaries, Masha Slamovich and Ash By Elegance, watching closely. In the end, Jordan would pin Jayne following a Moonsault.
NXT General Manager Ava then made two big announcements: Jacy Jayne will defend the TNA Knockouts World Title against Masha Slamovich and Ash By Elegance in a Triple Threat match on August 24 at NXT Heatwave. But before that, Fatal Influence will take on The Elegance Brand next week on NXT.
Meanwhile, after a funny cat-and-mouse game backstage, Joe Hendry went one-on-one with the leader of the No Quarter Catch Crew, Charlie Dempsey. Hendry put on an impressive performance, planting Dempsey with the Standing Ovation to score the win.
Crossing the lines also means crossing the reviews. Emergence or Bound For Glory may be TNA PLEs, taking a look at what happens on Tuesday nights has become essential to understand what may happen on Thursday nights. After all, the two major TNA titles are still in the hands of NXT talents.
What remains terribly eNYGMAtic…

Before TNA World Champion Trick Williams defends against Moose at Emergence, he joins forces with A.J. Francis and the returning Rich Swann to battle The System. There is no doubt that Eddie Edwards, Brian Myers, and JDC are determined to restore order in the iMPACT Zone, but can Trick and his allies shut them down in the final faceoff ahead of Emergence?
One night before the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championship is decided in a high-stakes four-way match, all four teams stand face-to-face in a Knockouts Tag Team Summit. Fatal Influence, The Elegance Brand, The IInspiration, and the team of Léi Ying Lee and Xia Brookside are ready for a final war of words.
TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater joins forces with TNA World Tag Team Champions The Hardys to battle Cedric Alexander and The Rascalz in a Champions vs Challengers match. With both the X-Division and World Tag Team Title pictures in play, expect a chaotic preview of what’s to come at Emergence.
Mike Santana steps into the ring with Eric Young. With Santana set to face Sami Callihan at Emergence, Young looks to weaken Santana before he even gets to Baltimore. Will Santana make a statement, or will The Northern Armory tip the scales in Young’s favor?
On the eve of their No Disqualifications, No Countouts clash for the TNA International Championship, Steve Maclin and Jake Something join Frankie Kazarian for a special King’s Speech. After last week’s chaotic brawl, tensions have already reached a boiling point, and it’s hard to imagine this staying civil for long.
Matt Cardona returns to the iMPACT Zone to battle Order 4’s John Skyler. With Tasha Steelz and Jason Hotch lurking, Cardona must watch his back.
Dani Luna teams with Indi Hartwell to battle the rising duo of Myla Grace and Harley Hudson. Both teams are out to make a statement just 24 hours before TNA Emergence.

With five matches and two segments, this TNA iMPACT keeps the same formula that has worked for a couple of weeks. One day before Emergence, a few more matches could still be made, even if I ask myself which.
Mike Santana faces Eric Young, the TNA “Cleanser in Chief.” The leader of the Northern Armory won’t be alone, as Travis Williams and Judas Icarus will be at ringside (no cleansing without a good sponge and some water).
Nygma says: Young insulted Santana in front of Sami Callihan. So, if the cleansers are involved, Callihan will be too.
TNA World Champion NXT’s Trick Williams teams up with First Class against The System. You may have noticed Moose is not involved, as Eddie Edwards, JDC, and Brian Myers represent the System. Nygma says: Williams could easily find a “trick” to shift the focus of the System, to weaken the faction a day before Emergence.
TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella will find himself in the middle of eight focused ladies. Of course, every team will think and say it would win. Fatal Influence will want to take the TNA Knockouts Tag Team belts to NXT. Nygma says: Well, it will end up in a massive brawl.
Frankie Kazarian hosts his second King’s speech (his own version of The Piper’s Pit, as he told me). His guests will be TNA International Champion Steve Maclin and Jake Something. It’s not easy to make two people who hate each other talk. So, Nygma says: Brawl in the offing.
The Hardys and Leon Slater join forces in a Champions vs Challengers match. The connection between the TNA Tag Team Champions and the X-Division Champion has been more than obvious. That’s probably why I am skeptical about this match. Nygma says: There may be some storm in the air between the Hardys and Slater (don’t ask me the how and the why…), so the Challengers win.

Dani Luna and Indi Hartwell will try to make their Mentor, Victoria Crawford, proud against Harley Hudson and Myla Grace. The fact that this match comes a bit out of nowhere makes me think there’s something else in the making.
Matt Cardona faces John Skyler, which means Order 4. That also means Tasha Steelz and Jason Hotch being at ringside, which minimizes Cardona’s chances of winning. Nygma says: If Cardona wins, which I wish him, he has better run because Mustafa Ali’s wrath has a name, Agent Zero.
I’ll see you on Friday for TNA iMPACT! “After The Bell,” my TNA Emergence preview with predictions, and more reviews and pieces in the coming days. Till then, may the Nygma be with you.
