Some news and notes regarding the TNA Unbreakable event set for Thursday, April 17 —
Chris Bey fundraiser —
TNA has announced a fundraiser for wrestler Chris Bey who suffered a broken neck in a TNA match last October, branding the efforts “Chris Bey All Day.”
One element of the fundraiser is a ticketed breakfast event on Thursday, April 17 that will stream on TNA Plus. A questions and answers segment will allow those in attendance to ask questions of TNA Tag Team Champions Matt and Jeff Hardy at the event, with Bey also advertised as making an appearance at the show. Tickets for the event are $50, with all proceeds being donated directly to Bey.
All staff and wrestlers appearing on the Unbreakable TNA Plus special later that night will wear special Bey merchandise, with TNA then auctioning off those event-worn shirts on their eBay page. Again, all proceeds from the auction will be donated to Bey.
A new grudge match has been announced for the Thursday, April 17 special, with Mance Warner facing Sami Callihan in a Barbed Wire Massacre match.
In addition, AJ Francis became the first wrestler to qualify for the International Championship three-way set for the show to crown the inaugural champ. Two more qualifying matches will take place at Unbreakable, with the title bout to take place later in the evening.
A mixed tag team bout has also been added to the card, with World Champion Joe Hendry and Knockouts World Champion Masha Slamovich teaming against their Rebellion title challengers Frankie Kazarian and Tessa Blanchard.
Another preview match for Rebellion will take place at Unbreakable, with The Hardys and Mike Santana facing The Nemeths and Mustafa Ali in a six-man tag. The Hardys defend their titles against The Nemeths at Rebellion, while Santana will face Ali at that show.
