The Nygma’s View

With seven matches announced and three titles on the line (as of writing), TNA Under Siege has a pretty interesting card. As TNA Wrestling presents Against All Odds in 2 weeks, we can see Under Siege as the first part of a two-chapter story.

“A win means everything in TNA, and a loss means even more.” Cody Deaner will put his contract renewal on the line against one of the pillars of TNA Wrestling, Eddie Edwards. With all the respect I have for both men, Deaner deserves to stay, and Alisha Edwards doesn’t deserve to give her husband the win.

That’s why I easily imagine someone coming and helping Deaner. And Nygma says: Something will happen to save Deaner’s career.

Another TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championship match between Spitfire and The Elegance. Ash and Heather dethroned Jody Threat and Dani Luna to become Knockouts World Tag Team Champions back at Sacrifice, but it wasn’t without help from The Personal Concierge in a 3-on-2 Handicap Match.

After escaping a Four-Way Match at Rebellion with their Knockouts World Tag Team Championship intact, the stipulation this time is the split of Spitfire if they don’t win. Nygma says: It all depends on Maggie Lee’s sense of Elegance.

The Hardys will try to regain the TNA World Tag Team Championship against Ryan and Nic Nemeth. Well, Matt Hardy will try, with the help of the youngest TNA main-eventer ever, Leon Slater. More than respect, Leon Slater has shown the legendary brothers his passion and his trust.

Slater is a rock-solid tag-team partner for Matt Hardy. Beyond a win, Nygma asks herself what will happen to Leon Slater if he wins but can’t defend it afterward, as Jeff is supposed to?

The war of the TNA Sherriffs is a women’s thing at Under Siege. The ongoing struggle for power rages on in TNA Wrestling as NXT’s Robert Stone looks to take control away from Director of Authority Santino Marella. Tessa Blanchard aligned herself with Stone, while the official liaison between NXT and TNA, Arianna Grace, stood by Daddy Santino.

NXT’s Arianna Grace demanded a match against Tessa Blanchard that Robert Stone made. Nygma says: not everyone in a family can make miracles…

Victoria Crawford and NXT’s Robert Stone have crossed the line. Deputy Director of Authority Victoria Crawford will make her TNA in-ring debut against Masha Slamovich for the Knockouts World Championship.

Even if Robert Stone and Tessa Blanchard probably aren’t going to be too far, we talk about Masha Slamovich, one of the fiercest Knockouts ever. Nygma says: probably DQ, but never a title change.

How long has the road to the World Championship been for Mike Santana? The Nygma’s Rebellion hero is just rid of Mustafa Ali, and he now has to deal with AJ Francis, which means KC Navarro too. Like said earlier, “A win means everything in TNA.”

Defeating AJ Francis would be another jump in the World Championship line. Nygma says: I believe in Mike Santana, not in KC Navarro, but definitely in Sami Callihan.

At NXT Battleground, Joe Hendry will put the TNA World Championship on the line against NXT’s Trick Williams. Two days before, at Under Siege, Hendry will team up with Elijah against Williams and Frankie Kazarian. I won’t come back on the long and epic Hendry/Williams rivalry since Rebellion.

The match itself is intriguing because Kazarian and Williams want the title, but I suspect Elijah, too. Whatever will happen at Battleground, there will be a lot of people waiting for Hendry when back to TNA Wrestling. Nygma says: Who will eat a guitar, live on PLE?

I’ll see you on Saturday for a special “Under Siege” After The Bell. May the Nygma be with you.
