The go-home edition of TNA iMPACT just days before the Genesis pay-per-view took place on Thursday night. Mere hours after a multi-year partnership between WWE and TNA Wrestling was announced, the stars of iMPACT were looking to make one final statement before Sunday’s PPV. Who was able to gain momentum going into TNA Genesis?

Leon Slater vs. Trent Seven

Frankie Kazarian served as a guest commentator for the opening match. Early in the match, Seven found himself stumbling to the outside. Slater went high-risk but was countered and planted with a snap dragon suplex. Back in the ring, Slater nearly stole a pin with a rollup off a suplex attempt, but no dice. With both men on the top rope, Slater went for a superplex but was countered with a modified scoop slam. Seven hit the Seven Star Lariat, followed by a twisting piledriver, but Slater kicked out at two. Slater escaped Birminghammer once but couldn’t avoid it the second time with another kickout.

On the ramp, Slater reversed the X-Plex into a DDT. Slater then went up the entranceway and leaped off the stage onto Seven. Back in the ring, Slater landed the Swanton 450 Splash for the victory.

After the match, Kazarian entered the ring and congratulated Slater, although it appeared he wanted to get in a sneak attack.

Joe Hendry Vows to Prove TNA Fans Right

A video package played for Joe Hendry . The number one contender for the TNA World Championship recalled first walking through the curtain under the TNA banner. He discussed the ups and downs throughout his career. Hendry said that while he could go back to being a “comedy guy,” he wants to find out if he can become a world champion. Hendry promised to capture the top men’s title in TNA this Sunday.

Championship Celebration By Elegance

George Iceman was out and he introduced Ash and Heather By Elegance. Iceman said as far as he’s concerned, Ash and Heather are already the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions. He presented cardboard cutouts of both women holding the gold. Ash thanked Heather, Iceman, and even a Starbucks barista. Heather told the crowd to hush and thanked Ash, as well as the Elegance brand. The actual TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions, Spitfire, interrupted the party. A brawl broke out, which resulted in Ash and Heather by Elegance being tossed out of the ring. Spitfire then destroyed the cardboard cutouts.

Sami Callihan and PCO Promise to Earn TNA Genesis Spot

PCO spoke in “monster,” which Sami Callihan was kind enough to translate. Callihan vowed there would be chaos in their match against The Hardys. He said by the end of TNA iMPACT, they will earn the right to compete for the TNA World Tag Team Championship at Genesis.

Eric Young & Steve Maclin vs. First Class

Eric Young and KC Navarro got things started. Navarro slapped Young, and it proved to be an unwise move. Young delivered his own slap to the back of  Navarro’s dome. Maclin was in and he chopped Navarro in the corner.

Maclin attempted a dive on Navarro on the outside, but AJ Francis pulled the ropes down. This allowed Navarro to nail a suicide dive while Francis made the tag. AJ Francis was distracted by a special guest in the crowd, which allowed Maclin to hit an Olympic Slam.

In the ring, Young and Navarro were tagged in. Young hit the Death Valley Driver for a near fall. Young eventually landed the Elbow Drop for the win. After the match, Bryan Myers, Eddie Edwards, and Alisha Edwards of The System appeared on the ramp to play some mind games.

Masha Slamovich & Rosemary Enter The Confessional

Rosemary said the confessional is where both her and Slamovich confess sins. Rosemary’s confession was that she’ll do anything to get the TNA Knockouts Championship back after seven years. Slamowich said it must’ve been tough for Rosemary to watch the women pass her by. Slamovich said Rosemary only has herself to blame for the title drought. Rosemary said she’s one of the most violent Knockouts in TNA history. She vowed to take Slamovich’s soul piece by piece in the Clockwork Orange House of Fun match at TNA Genesis.

The Northern Armory Issues Stern Warning To Mike Santana

Josh Alexander claimed that Mike Santana sustained an injury due to the attacks of The Northern Armory in bothTNA and Prestige Wrestling. Santana’s music hit and he made his way out through the crowd. The Puerto Rican star ripped Alexander and his “bald ass head.” Santana said as long as his heart is still beating he will go after Alexander. Santana then laid out the challenge for an “I Quit” match at Genesis. Alexander said if Santana ever got him to quit, he’d shake his hand man-to-man. He promised to make an example out of Santana this Sunday. He said Santana’s place isn’t to be in the main event of TNA; it’s at the bottom of the card. Santana vowed to become the new standard of TNA.

Laredo Kid vs. Jake Something

Laredo Kid used his athleticism early, but Something pounced him over the top rope. Back in the ring, Kid seemingly gained momentum, but he got caught in the bear trap and ate a lariat. Kid landed a forearm and went high-risk, but ate Something’s own forearm. Something went for a powerbomb, but Kid got out of it and hit an enzuigiri, followed by a flipping DDT.

On the top rope, Laredo was planted with the Something Bomb for the three-count.

Ace Austin Faces Moose in Honor of Chris Bey

A vignette for Ace Austin aired. Austin said that he and Chris Bey are more than just acquaintances. He recalled winning the X-Division Championship back in 2019. He credited The Hardys for inspiring him in his career, and he expressed gratitude teaming with Bey to take on the legendary tag team Austin talked about his best friend, Bey, suffering a serious injury near the end of 2024. Austin said that both he and Bey idolized the greats of the X-Division. He said Moose, as the X-Division champion, doesn’t sit right with him.

The Hardys vs. Sami Callihan & PCO

Things quickly spilled to the outside. Callihan rammed Jeff’s head into the ring steps as they went into a commercial break. Back from the break, The Hardy’s gained some steam, hitting Poetry in Motion on Callihan. PCO was tagged in and he took out both Hardy brothers with a clothesline. Callihan and PCO were able to keep Matt Hardy grounded for a while. Matt turned the tide with a double DDT. Jeff Hardy was tagged in. PCO accidentally hit Callihan, which allowed Jeff to hit Whisper in the Wind on both men. Jeff and Matt both hit Twist of Fate on Callihan. Jeff landed the Swanton Bomb on Callihan for the win.

Jordynne Grace Interrupts Broadcast

Jordynne Grace made a surprise appearance at the commentary desk briefly. She claimed that Tessa Blanchard hadn’t agreed to their match at Genesis. She left her signed contract on the desk and said if Tessa doesn’t show up, it wouldn’t be the first time she’s let TNA down.

Joe Hendry & Nic Nemeth Meet Face-to-Face

Both Joe Hendry and Nic Nemeth were in the ring. The challenger spoke first and said the realest thing he’ll ever sayto the champion is that he has to win at Genesis. He guaranteed a new era of TNA will begin with him lifting the world championship.

Nemeth said he understands how much the match means to Hendry. With that said, Nemeth made it clear that he knows what it means to be the TNA World Champion. He said he doesn’t know if Hendry is truly ready to hold the TNA World Championship. Nemeth then had the production truck play a clip of John Layfield attacking Hendry and Ryan Nemeth at the Bound For Glory pay-per-view. Nic insisted that he had nothing to do with Layfield’s attacks.

Hendry said he wanted to know one thing from Nemeth, but Ryan interrupted. Ryan told Nic that Hendry was not his friend. He claimed Hendry was a snake trying to get in the champion’s head. Ryan charged at Hendry in the ring, but he was lifted up for the Standing Ovation. Before Hendry could land the move, Nic landed a Super Kick.

T essa Blanchard and Jordynne Grace Brawl to End Show

Tessa Blanchard stormed the commentary desk and signed the contract to meet Jordynne Grace at Genesis. Grace then attacked Blanchard and hit the Juggernaut Driver to end the show.
