Tony Khan: Shane McMahon is always welcome in AEW

Tony Khan says AEW’s door is open for Shane McMahon. On a recent episode of Grilling JR, host Conrad Thompson said a friend of his told him McMahon had sent feelers out to AEW wrestlers regarding him coming into the company. The AEW President would later tell Dave Meltzer that he’d never met or spoken to McMahon. However, Khan recently told Sports Illustrated that McMahon is “always welcome in AEW.” “I heard the rumor he might be interested,” said Khan. “I’ve never met Shane, but we have a lot of mutual friends. I have a lot of respect for him as an executive and a professional wrestler. Shane is always welcome in AEW.” Meltzer addressed McMahon having potentially sent out feelers to AEW wrestlers in last week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
