'Top Of The World' Darby Allin Has Reached The Summit Of Mount Everest
AEW
  • Darby Allin hasn't been on AEW in many months.
  • Darby successfully climbed Mount Everest, reaching the peak after a 40-day journey.
  • Fans anticipate Darby seeking revenge from the Death Riders on his return to AEW to potentially challenge for the championship.

Former AEW TNT Champion Darby Allin hasn't appeared on AEW programming in quite some time, last showing up on the December 27th episode of Rampage where he was attacked by the Death Riders. He was written off television in order for him to resume his training for an expedition he had set out on to climb Mount Everest.

Darby had these plans back in 2024 and spent a large part of 2023 and 2024 training for the climb, but a broken foot he suffered during a match forced him to postpone his plans. He was able to officially start the climb on April 8th, 2025 and was able to make a couple of posts on social media about the journey.

Darby Allin Has Reached the Peak

Darby, alongside the four Sherpas who ventured up Mount Everest with him, have finally made it to the top of the mountain. In a post that confirmed they reached the top at 8:50am local time with many other teams taking advantage of the good weather today. As mentioned, the trip started on April 8th this year, meaning Allin has been climbing Everest for 40 days.

Allin made a single post during this trek to show off a world record he set, performing a kickflip at the highest elevation of 20,958 feet. Some have said the trip down Everest is equally if not harder than making it up, with fans joking that Darby can use his daredevil attitude and simply dive down the mountain.

Darby's Role In AEW

While Darby has appeared on AEW television since last year, his role in the Death Riders storyline was a big one and many fans believe he is scheduled to beat Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship whenever he comes back. He was last seen being attacked by the Death Riders, so it makes sense that he will be wanting revenge when he is around.

Moxley has been keeping an iron grip on the AEW World Championship since capturing it from Bryan Danielson, including wins over Samoa Joe, Swerve Strickland, Cope, Christian Cage, and many more. The winner of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament will be getting a title match at All In Texas, which is scheduled for July 12th, meaning Darby might have to wait a little for a possible title shot.
