WWE always want to make sure that its biggest stars are on show on the road to and at WrestleMania, but constant injuries have been a major issue this year. Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker and Sheamus are among those currently out of action, and their chances of making Mania are doubtful.

That's also the case for Bianca Belair, who hasn't competed in a WWE ring since WrestleMania 41 last year. She sustained a hand injury in a triple threat match on night two of the Show of Shows.

Bianca Belair Injury Update

Belair's absence has left fans puzzled, given the initial belief was that it was only a minor injury. But a year has passed and the EST of WWE is still nowhere to be seen.

The former WWE Women's Champion has given an update on the situation and revealed she's set to undergo surgery. She posted on her Instagram account:

"Finger surgery tomorrow."

Belair doesn't mention when she expects to return to the ring, but the usual timeline of recovery for finger surgery is 2–4 weeks. That means she is almost certain to miss Elimination Chamber on February 28th.

While she may well have recovered from surgery after 2–4 weeks, full recovery, including grip strength and dexterity, can take up to 3–6 months. That will be concerning for WWE, given there are only two months until WrestleMania 42.

Jade Cargill's opponent for the Show of Shows has yet to be determined, but the Elimination Chamber is likely to decide who challenges for the WWE Women's Championship. Royal Rumble winner Liv Morgan could also choose to face Cargill, although all signs point to her facing Women's World Champion Stephanie Vaquer.

Reports claim Belair is expected to be at Mania, although it's not known whether that will be in a wrestling capacity or just an appearance. She is one of the company's biggest stars, and they will be eager to have her return for a potential feud with her former tag team partner, Cargill, who is the reigning WWE Women's Champion.

The pair were involved in a three-way storyline, including Naomi at the time of Belair's injury. Her last appearance in WWE came as a special guest referee when Cargill defeated Naomi at Evolution back last July.

Belair would help add more star power to the women's division that recently welcomed Tiffany Stratton back. There is a possibility she gets a rematch for the WWE Women's Championship against Cargill at Mania as she has qualified for the Elimination Chamber.
