How’s WWE NXT Superstar Trick Williams doing after that Last Man Standing match against NXT World Champion Ricky Saints on the November 11 episode of NXT? Well, F4Wonline’s Bryan Alvarez has provided the latest update to his subscribers on his X account. It appears that a spot he took last night was not supposed to happen exactly.

During the match, Williams took a hit to the head while he was trying to spear Saints. Saints moved out of the way, and Williams hit the barricade at ringside. He was supposed to crash through the barricade, but hitting his head into a beam of the guardrail was not in the books. The referee did check on him, too, and was surprised when Williams told him that he was OK. Alvarez wrote:
“Trick busted his head wide open when he went through the barricade and accidentally hit his head on a metal beam. Ref asked if he was OK and Trick said yes, at which point the ref asked, ‘ARE YOU SURE?’” (h/t: F4WOnline)
The match ended with Saints retaining the NXT Title by spearing Williams through the announce table and beating the 10-count. At the end of the main event match, former NXT Champion Oba Femi came out, and then the show ended. Anyway, this is Williams' most recent match for the title. It was on October 25 at NXT Halloween Havoc, where he unsuccessfully tried to capture the title from Saints. Saints has been the NXT Champion since defeating Femi on September 27 at the NXT No Mercy PLE. That was Femi’s last televised match since his return. He did do a few NXT Live Shows after that.
Also, during the show, Jasper Troy defeated El Grande Americano to win the WWE Speed Championship. Troy was the LFG season one winner. Thea Hail defeated Alba Fyre, though the Women’s United States Champion Chelsea Green and NXT North American Champion Ethan Page tried to interfere. Though Joe Hendry made sure she got the win.
Fallon Henley defeated Skylar Rae, and Tavion Heights defeated Josh Briggs. There was also a return of Leon Slater to help Je’Von Evans with DarkState. So it was an eventful show that opened the show with Tatum Paxley refusing to back down to NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne. The two will be facing each other next week on November 18 for the Gold Rush special.
